OK, I goofed about the smoking. I had several pages on the computer at the time. It seems I copy/pasted the wrong tag. Heres the right one:

http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/364239/quit_smoking_invest_the_money_spent.html

Here's a spec of the info on that page: (copied and pasted straight from that page)

Let's take an average 25 year old man who smokes and compare him to his non-smoking counterpart. Our smoker, who I will call Hack, smokes an average of two packs of cigarettes per day. Each pack costs $3 for a total of $6 per day. This equates to roughly $42 per week and $180 per month.

$180.00 a month to destroy your lungs and health. The center (at 1/3 that cost) is definately a better decision than smoking.:goodvibes

It seems to me that you made a poll here looking for feedback.

Yet any feedback you have received that wasn't glowing, you have argued. :confused3

I post that my family couldn't afford the cost of a monthly membership. You reply that, "but most parents of autistic children get SSI, and one month's check would cover a years membership."

Actually when we did get SSI it was $260 a month. So no one check wouldn't have covered a year membership.

htmom asked, "And will the staff be watching the children as well? Because if you have a parents area that is raised and seperate how can the parents supervise properly? My son needs one on one............"

Your response is, "You just mis-read that part."

Disneylush states that, "cost is WAY to much.. consider pay as you go with a discount if you buy a whole month."

Response? "Its also less than the price of the average monthly cellphone bill. Its LESS THAN the average monthly bill of a cigarette smoker. http://nosmoking.ws/news/newstobaccopoor091001.htm Its LESS than the cost of being an alcholic."

Disneylush also states, "I think it is a good idea but it needs a LOT more research."

To which you reply, "I know how people here can present a challenge."

And lastly, Your response to htmom when she said, "I think it is a nice idea. But there is no way we could afford to go. We barely have enough to cover meds at our house, no "extra" fun money." is to question her judgement in using meds in your post number 20.

People were very kind and offered you feedback when you pleaded for it. These fellow posters took time out of their busy day to help you out. And their posts where poignant and to the point. And what you you do? Well simply re-read your posts.

Have I lied anywhere? I am simply stating a positive response to all the negativity. How about some of the 50% of you who liked the idea respond? Ive heard enough from the negative people. I originally only asked for votes if you want to be truthful. Why is it we as people only respond with negativity? Show me one single post where someone said "Yes, I'd go. Great idea."
The only comments are negative comments. Yet poll still shows a 50/50. Where are the positive posts? And YES, some of them are incorrect. The cost being "WAY" too much is purely opinion. I am just disagreeing. I NEVER said the children would be separated yet 2 different people referred to that. that is mis-information. Why not correct it? That shouldnt make you mad. You should say "Whoops, I didn't fully read that.. He's right." Not retaliate with more negativity. It seems to me you have a personal stake in being negative.
I asked for feedback, but I never said ONLY RESPOND IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING NEGATIVE TO SAY. How about some positive ideas?? I'm trying to do something good here and all I get is negativity. Maybe this WAS the wrong forum.

Once again you misquoted. I responded with I had pages and pages of research. The challenge response had nothing to do with her post.
After this post I'll shut it down. I have the info I need. I wont argue over this any further.
It might be easier to handle the negativity if there were some ALL POSITIVE posts as well.
