Pleeease Help me!!

Help! I am lost as to what to do!! We booked a stay at the Poly starting 9/30-10/8. We booked it through AAA and saved a good chunk of money.

Now along comes the free dining and I understand that I can apply it to my trip because I am checking in on September 30.

Should I cancel with AAA and rebook through Disney? Can I get the free dining and AAA discount?

I am supposed to call for my ADR's tomorrow. If I make changes, will I lose ADR's that I make??

It is too much to wrap my head around!!

Ok first can not get both discounts it is an either or thing. So you need to figure out how much you are saving with AAA and see if you save more with the dining plan(probably will) The free dining works with Rack Rate only*I am pretty sure anyway. If you make your ADR's they ask if you are on the dining plan- but you can just say not yet. And then if you decide to do it you can call and let them know you are DP or not. You won't lose your ADR's.

I jumped in and booked the exact same trip through Disney. It looks as if I'll be saving about $300 plus I added a 9th day to my MYW ticket.

I'm going to cancel through AAA tomorrow. Does anyone know how much I'll lose? I'm assuming I'll lose the insurance, but I don't know for sure.

I hope I made the right decision!!

That is so funny- i did the same exact thing this morning!-- i called and made ressies thru disney- i already had ressies w/ AAA- however, i am going to need to cancel those.

if you feel you made the wrong decision- i guess you can just keep your AAA ressies and tell them to add the free dining instead of giving you the AAA discount and you wont loose anything.

i have to call tomorrow and find out also.

I did the free dining plan last year in September. It was the best. It was great because you try things you may have never tried and the whole time you are thinking this meal is free and that makes it taste even better. Plus so much of your trip is now prepaid it is a nice feeling to not have to pull out your credit card or money during the trip to pay for meals. Have a great time and enjoy the free dining.

I'm a little confused, I thought the free dining was only good until the end of September? The day you're checking in should be the last day of the free dining, no?

You don't have to book the free dining package thru Disney. I called AAA on Saturday and they changed my ressie to the free dining package for me. I did lose the $300 AAA discount but got $1368 (9 nights- 4 adults) worth of DDP free in exchange. The ADR's I've already made are still there (I checked) because my reservation number is still the same. You can't have both discounts but AAA can still book your trip. Hope this helps.

No...that's what I thought too, but after further checking...as long as you have booked the first day of your package in September, the dining carries on for the length of your stay. You can't get it Oct. 1, but if you arrive Sept. 30, you can get it for your entire package.

Those of you that are re-booking for the dining plan, do you have the Disney Visa or are you getting to book anyway? As I understand, the general public release for thsi promotion is tomorrow (Tuesday).

I have the Disney Visa too. Turns out, I called my AAA agent today to cancel through them and she thinks she get can me the same or better deal without losing the trip insurance $$ I paid. She's supposed to call me back in the next 5 minutes after talking with Disney to see what she can do for me. So as of right now...I have two trips booked to the Poly!!

I made all my ADR's this morning and got everything I wanted (using the new booking). I'm afraid that if I switch back to AAA, I'll lose them. My AAA agent says that I won't. The ADR's are unrelated to a confirmation #.

Can anyone confirm if this is indeed true??
