Pledge Your new year resolution for 2008

OK Girls and Guys what is your pledge or new year resolution for 2008, post your resolution, so everyone can see, and keep to it.

Is it the standard to diet and loose weight, if so a pledge on who much you will loose and more important, pledge how, you will do it, not just sign up to the gym, but go three nights a week, or join a club.

Apart from diet, are you going to get your finances in order? or book that dream holiday, or change that job, tell the boss you need a pay increase, go for that girl or guy you fancy, or ditch the current one!

Pass thoose exams, or have a new haircut?

So whats you pledge?

Mine

Too loose two stone in weight, by cutting out ALL snacks, chocolate, crisps etc, and I mean all, between now and Easter and go out for walks regularly each week.

If i can have more pledges it will be to find a great new job, pass my second year degree and have a happier year
 
Okey dokey where do I start, Im presuming I can have more than one, so here we go:

1. To lose at least 3 stone by the summer.

2. To save at least £30 per month for rainy days.

3. To read a new book (and finish it) every month.

There we go.:)

2. To do 10k on my bike at least 5 days a week

3. To take a little time out for 'me' every week

I don't usually make resolutions, but I'll be back on my diet on Monday, so I hope Nat will start the dieting thread back up after that :thumbsup2

I'm determined to lose weight - I want to lose at least 5 stone before the summer and get fit again. I'd like to start playing badminton again.
 
Well mine's to get our next Disney Holiday booked!!, and to save for my DH's 40th ;)

I want to loose 4 stone by the summer (preferably more, but I want to be realistic) ready for my big American trip.

To do this I am going to cut out snacking, start counting my weight watchers points again and have already joined a gym (I've joined on a years contract.) I went for my health check today and am going to get my personal training programme set up tomorrow. Then I will go to work out 3 times a week after work and at least once on a weekend. I'm going to make sure I use the jacuzzi, steam room and sauna a few times a week as well to help relax so I can attempt to get my stress levels down too!
 
This looks good guys but we are pledging in front of the DIS, so we have to go for it, so many times, we think of a resolution late on the 31st and have blown it in days,

So good luck, we need to plan now to see how we do it, hopefully we all will be very good looking in a month or two!!!!!
 
hi all .
Heres mine
1 To lose weight for my april tip, when Jack starts school full time in Jan i plan to go swimming / classes, as i will have a bit more time then.

2 To get on and try to get more of the house sorted out, its getting there slowly, loft conversion being done spring so hopefully it will be the shove we need.

3 Id Like to have a christmas Baby next year ( im sure hubby will have a thing or two to say about that though:rotfl: )
 
1) To lose one stone before Easter by cutting out sugary/starchy carbs (including alcohol) as well as walking a minimum of 15000 steps per day plus one personal training session per week... :yay:

2) To not get cold feet about returning to Uni in September tho' I'm terrified of being the oldest student in town... :rotfl2:

3) To finally get the renovations under way as we are in desperate need of more space and the house is about to about to fall down around our ears... :rolleyes:
 
Mine is to lose 3 stone
I will cut out all takeaways and junk food
excersise regulaly at least three times a week :goodvibes
 
mind is to lost some weight , use the health club at least 3 times a week , got out a years membership before christmas so have started already
keep the house more tidy
and enjoy life more

Fantastic thread!!!

My resolutions/goals for 2008 are:

*becoming more involved in my Church and attending regularly instead of only occasionally as I have done the last couple of years.
*do at least 30 minutes of exercise every day (real huffy puffy exercise!).
*lose 6 stone by September (I need to lose more than this but this is a sensible amount for someone my size to lose in 9 months) by following Weight Watchers and making a conscious effort to focus on what i'm eating and stop 'boredom' eating which is something i'm prone to do.
*get pregnant soon after September ;)
*get into college to study Counselling in September

September seems a key month for me! :thumbsup2
