I have 2 ds's 12 and 15 and we are planning a trip to PI. Have any of you been? Was there much to do for my ds's ages? Do you think they will like it? I think the comedy club would be a favorite of there's. The Adventure club sounds fun, but can they go? I'd love all you expert teens to fill me in on whether it is worth our time.

Thanks!

I'm like....99.9999999999% positive that to get in anywhere on PI after like...7 or so, you need to be 18.

They can be in there when the clubs aren't open so long as you're with them as there are shops in PI, but once the clubs open they aren't allowed in. Wristbands are mandatory.

As for the comedy club...I'm pretty sure that's strictly 18 and up.

Ah. I just found this.

"Admission required to enter Pleasure Island nightclubs. Guests must be 21 years of age or older with acceptable forms of identification to enter BET SoundStage Club, 8TRAX, Mannequins Dance Palace and Motion. Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a person 21 years of age or older to enter Adventurers Club and Comedy Warehouse. Valid photo I.D. required. All Clubs are non-smoking."

Straight from the official site. I've heard of people bringing their kids, but it doesn't seem like something that is very common. It is a haven for adults at Disney where they can get away from being with their kids.

Sorry but, I wouldn't go there after dark. It's a place for adults to go and have a little time without the kids. Shopping and browsing during the day would be fine, I've done that. If I were to go into one of the clubs I would feel as if I was intruding.

Sorry. Hopefully you're sons will have fun in the rest of DTD. Disney Quest might be a good place for them.

Ditto. While I might like dancing like a freak with my friends...sooo not happening in front of my parents. As for the whole "very sexual" feel of some of the clubs...uh...AWKWARD.

They can go to the Adventurer's Club and Comedy Club with someone over the age of 21, but you have to be 18 to go in alone.

Other than that they can't get into any of the clubs.

I haven't actually been to either but my mom was only 19 when she did the College Program (Ancient history :] ), and she loved it.

But PI is technically the "adult" spot on property.

I've heard that Disney Quest is a lot of fun.

And at that age you could just let them hang out at the resort, or (if you're staying on property) you could let them hit whatever EMH is going on that night. Even if you aren't, just let them go to whatever park is open latest.

Wow! I had no idea, thought kids were ok with adults. I am sooo glad I asked. You guys are great to give it to me straight.

Thank you all very very much!

Plan...I ...think.. Is it the less expensive one?

then its the Disney Dining Plan.

Many restaurants now participate in the Disney Dining Plan, which is part of a vacation package offered by Walt Disney World. Periodically this is offered as a "Free" add-on during off peak times (January, September) For a detailed explanation of the program, and a list of the restaurants that participate, visit our 2007 Magic Your Way Dining Plan page. Read what others say about the Disney Dining Plan!

DISNEY DINING EXPERIENCE is a dining discount program for eligible Florida Residents and Annual Passholders 21 and older good for 20 percent off food and beverage at a number of Walt Disney World Resort hotel and theme park restaurants and lounges. The discount is good for up to 10 persons in your party. (Prior to 2005, the DDE, as it is commonly called, was only open to Florida residents.)

Oh but my cousin has an annual pass. ( yes I know thats odd considering we live in Canada)

So we get ... free food.. but.. If we want extra food we get 20% off?
