Pleasure Island Question -- carding?

My cousin is going to Disney with some friends for "senior week" (lucky her!) and she was asking about getting into PLeasure Island. It will be one month before her 18th birthday when they go. What I wanted to know is do they card everyone who goes into Pleasure Island or only the 21 year olds? Is there any way she could get permission from her parents to go even if they aren't there? All of her friends are 18 and it seems a shame for her to have to miss out on PI, especially since she's not trying to drink or anything, she just wants to go in and have fun! I don't usually go to PI and I don't remember how it works!

She can get in even though she's not 21. If I remember correctly, they card everyone and give wristbands to those 21 & over in case they want to drink.

I thought what I read in the Passporter was that they card everyone. I just want to make sure I give her good info.

You don't need a ticket anymore to go to PI. But they do card you and you must pay admission to go into the clubs. I also believe most, if not all of the clubs require that you be at least 18 years of age or accompanied by a parent.

Mannequins and BET soundstage require you to be 21 (or at least did) but the other clubs were 18+ (unless accompanied by an adult).

As of this moment - She will not be able to get into Mannequinns or Motion. Motion is always 18+ only. Mannequins is either 18+ only or 21+ only depending on the night. BET is 21+ fri & sat, but rest of the nights is 18 unless your with someone who's 21.

The rest of the clubs she can get in IF she is with someone who is 21 at all times.

However, This is subject to change. A little birdie tells me that it will be strictly 21+ for all the dance clubs soon. However, that is not in effect as of yet, so I'm not exactly how sure the changes will be.

They card like crazy...BUT...My senior year of high school spring break we were able to trick the system. It was the same situation your cousin is in, all of us were 18 except one girl who was with us. We played stupid and said she forgot her wallet at the hotel. Then we did the innocent, "oh, who's going to go back" and acted all depressed. Well we got lucky because two of the people checking ID's and such were from the Chicagoland area right near where we live. We got to talking and they said that it was ok for her to go, but to not forget her ID next time (she only wanted to go the one time anyway) and we had a BLAST that night. Hope your cousin can come up with some strategy because they really are crazy about carding, which is good and bad I suppose. Good luck! :thumbsup2

Hmmm...that might be a good strategy (no flames, please). I think it is silly if they won't let her in. Like I said, she's not going to be trying to drink, she just wants to have fun with her firends.

Is there anything to do at Pleasure island if you don't go into the clubs? I have only been there once, and that was about 16 years ago, so it was totally different then!
