i'm going to WDW with three friends in june, and all of us will be 18 at the time. we were thinking about going to PI for a night, and I was wondering what would be the best clubs to visit. wb!!

I'm just bumping this back to page one for you.

Hey there recent graduate,

Having been an eighteen year old once, and being a current lover of PI, I'll try and answer your question the best I can. Maybe another person your age will post, too. I'm obviously seperated from the current music scene.

Know this: they enforce the drinking age (I was carded my first time five years ago, I was 35). Also, BET Soundstage and Mannequins require you to be 21 or older to enter. You're carded and given a wristband when you enter if you're 21+. No wristband, no hooch.

Beyond that, there's tons to do. The non-music clubs are the Adventurer's Club and the Comedy Warehouse. The AC is difficult to describe, yet in my opinion the best of the clubs. That's coming from a 40 year old who's finally getting bored with loud music. The AC is themed heavily with many assorted characters who perform shows in three areas: The Libarary (a main stage holding shows about once every 90 minutes or so), plus the treasure room and mask room, smaller rooms where you go sit and see shows. They are quite funny. To get a full feel for this, visit:

The CW is an impromptu comedy show running I think once an hour. The line for the next show starts forming half an hour to forty five minutes ahead of time. These are fairly clean improv shows that include some pretty heavy audience participation. We don't spend much time here because in peak hours you have to spend half an hour in line for each show, but it's always good for a show or two a night.

Then there's the clubs. Each has a theme. My favorites are 8 Trax, themed on the disco/soul era of the 70's; The R&R Beach Club always has a decent live act performing various Rock hits from the sixties through current; The Jazz Club, which we like because it's great jazz music and lower key (and softer), but this may not hold your interest.

I haven't spent much time in the others clubs as they're far more geared to a younger crowd, and they're unfortunately off limits to those under 21. Note that there's also a band on the main street stage (called the West End Stage), and at midnight they have a New Years Eve-style fireworks show (the theme is "every night is New Years Eve at PI").

I hope that helps. For a nice overview, see the below link:

Good luck and have fun!
