Would you take an 11 year old boy to the first show at the Comedy Club on Pleasure Island? I don't remember it being that bad for children, but am unsure. That is really all I would do with him, other than hang over the railing to take a peak at the Adventurer's Club. Or has anybody ever taken a child through for the 'show'.

I would be going early and certainly leaving early. If you have any child friendly suggestions for us to do on PI please suggest.

Thank you so much.:bounce:

I don't recall whether for Pleasure Island as a whole in the evening children are not allowed period (X rated) or not allowed unaccompanied by an adult (R rated).

But I rate everthing in the COmedy club and Adventuerers club G or at worst PG (parental guidance) and I have been to both of them a lot. Whether your child will be bored (I don't know what age number to put after the PG-?), I can't tell.

I don't remember seeing anything frightening or nude.

The primary reason for the age restriction is to prevent minors;' drinking.

I do not think I would take an 11 year old to the Comedy Club.. not that it is bad or "R"... but I do not recall seeing any children at the club before and I have been there a number of times...

If you go to the first show you'll probably be ok. Disney is pretty good about saying things in a way that goes right over younger kid's heads. I would definitely not take him later in the evening. Not only for his sake, but for the sake of the adults who paid admission and a babysitter so they could have an adult evening out. :)

I did not see any children in the Comedy Club but did see them in the Adventurer's Club.. I think the castmembers gear it down a bit or maybe that is just their usual....I did not think it was too wild, they see worse on TV..

This topic seems to spark alot of discussion as to what is proper for preteen children. So it will be up to you how much you want your child to see.

It sounds like you have already seen the show and know that the content is generally "Disney" rated. By going to the first show that is even better than late in the evening(as far as the rowdy party crowd). I have taken my kids for the last 4 years (current ages 14 & 15) and only 1 time when we did the last show on a Thurs night did I feel they are seeing more than I wanted them to see of the nightclub scene. I think you would be OK for the first show.

I would and have taken a preteen to both places and not just the early show. I think that the humor is no worse then prime time television. ::yes::

I second this. When I am at a club, I don't want to worry about what I say or do because of children being present. Pleasure Island is the theme park for adults. JMHO
