This ride was originally to have been called Discovery Mountain, as was the whole area - this was only changed at the last minute - even the entrance signs were up and they had to be taken down and changed!

Upon opening it was called Space Mountain de la terre a la lune and the audio track was written by Steve Bramson (some older websites indicate another composer, but 'From Sketch to Reality' and Mr Bramson's own website both state he was the composer so that is the answer I am accepting)

After refurb it reopened as Space Mountain Mission2 with music by Michael Giacchino.
