We will need transportation from MCO to WDW - not sure of resort, POFQ or Dolphin and DH wants a food store stop and to keep track of our own bags, so DME is a no-go.

FL Tours sent me an e-mai and they can handle 3 large suitcase (which we will have) and a few carry ons, plus us 4 people, DH, DW, DS (age 20) and DD (age 17) in a towncar for $129 rounf trip.

But we would have more room in a Luxury-Van if we paid another $15, Van = $144 ?
Is it a luxury Van - or is it like a standard Volkswagon Van ?

Or should we splurge for a Limo for $230 ?

Please tell me your good or not so good reviews of FL Tours.
Since they are the sponsor of this board, we thought we'd use them.

But we have not traveled to WDW in 5 years and companies change hands and policies.

So we would really like some honest reviews of FL Tours.

Thank you so much !

No answers, but I would like to know too! I have booked with them the limo for the 5 of us, they let me know they would meet us at baggage claim and assist with bags which will be very appreciated for us after a 24 hour trip from Sydney!!!

FL Tours has a varied history. They went through some tough times....really bad service. I have used them before with pretty good service. Once it all went fine. But the next time it was less than wonderful. We had booked for Thanksgiving day arrival....got to MCO around 10ish. I had asked, repeatedly, if a short grocery stop would be an option, knowing it was Thanksgiving day. I was reassured that yes, we would be able to stop. So, I packed based on that info...given to me about 4/5 times via email and on the phone. When we got there, we couldn't find our driver. They are usually at the bottom of the escalator..but no one for us. After we got our bags, dh went in search of the driver. He, the driver, was outside the terminal, having a smoke. He came in and took a bag, while we carried the other 4, and went across the street to his car. Well.....when I asked about the grocery stop I was told that no, no stops that day since it was Thanksgiving and no stores were open. Seriously??? I told him that I had been promised a stop, and that just a convenience store would be fine. Nope, nothing open mam. Yeah, right. It was 11am...of course there were stores open. But that driver didn't budge.
He dropped us at our resort.....got no tip.

When it was time to leave, to head back to the airport, we got outside to the pickup area about 10 mins before the designated time. Weren't concerned when we didn't see a car. But, after 15 mins went by with no car arriving, we got concerned. At the 20 min mark, and no car, we called the company. We were told that the driver should be there. At the 30 mins mark, my dh walked down the road, toward the bus stop (we were at BW). Standing there, beside his car, was a driver smoking. Yep, you got it....our driver yet again having a smoke. Now, I've been picked up at BW many times....and every time they drive right up to the front door area, under the portico....they don't sit down the road, and I mean way down the road. He was almost at the curb where the bus stop is.
He got no tip at all...and the company got a very unhappy email.

Now, having said all this...others have had very good service with FL Tours. They have changed ownership...I have had some contact with them, to book another ride..figured I would throw myself under the proverbial bus to see how it worked so I could report back. But, my plans changed and I didn't need to use a car service. I will say that the FL Tours office called me several times to double check on my plans, even after I cancelled. They wanted to be sure they had the correct info.

So...long story short..would I use FL Tours again? Yes. I have seen good reports in the past year or so. No negative reports.

We used FL Tours in January. We had 4 adults and 3 children (2 booster seats and 1 car seat). The driver was waiting for us at baggage claim and was already looking for bags with our names. The van was a luxury van with a DVD player (he put on a kid-friendly movie after asking if that was ok with us). He brought 2 boosters and a car seat. We had to install the seats ourselves (which is standard for liability reasons). We made a grocery stop and then on to the resort. It was really pleasant and easy. The car ride back to the airport was in the same van and was equally nice.
We're going to try renting a car on our upcoming trip (because we had some minor annoyances with Disney buses - nothing interesting or bad enough to make a big deal but enough that I want to see what it's like to have a car) but otherwise I would definitely use FL Tours again.

Does anyone know where they stop when you ask for a grocery stop?

:) Hello, sorry I can't help you with FL Tours. DH and I have only used Tiffany Towncar as our car service. We now almost always fly to WDW and I have never had a problem. Mark picked us up in an executive towncar in May. Waseem picked us up in a large SUV in Dec. These are both excellent drivers. Both were waiting at the bottom of the elevator/escuator, helped us with luggage, were polite and talked with us on the way. Waseem picked us up after 9 p.m. in Dec and we had requested a grocery stop. Unfortunately Publix near AKV had closed already or was going to in a few minutes. He told us that he would be happy to take us to Goodings but they were very pricing and they we could also stop at the Hess station close by. We thought that was very nice and he said their prices were better. So we did Hess. He helped us with loading the few groceries. I requested him in May but we got Mark instead. He was very professional, had owned his own transport company at one time and had a very clean car. DH LOVED the exec car. So much room.

Our trip in Dec was around $125 for the SUV and $109 for the exec towncar in May--tips not included. 30 minute grocery stop.

Anytime we come with more than just DH and I we get an SUV or passenger van. Very nice, have a stool to help you in the vehichle, clean smelling and nice music. They are very good at conversing with you if you like to do that.
We will only use them and have only had one bad experience in 2006 and that guy drove too fast and scared us--he no longer works there.

We had to scedule a car on very short notice and it was no problem.

So I vote for TIffany, they have a coupon at their online site. The guy that takes our reservation now knows my name becasue it is unusal and we have a nice little conversation when I call.

And no, I do not work for that company. So if you ise them request Mark (ask him abut his motorcycle) or Waseem (has family near us in Biloxi). Yes, bless their hearts I am a chatty Kathy.

Another vote for Tiffany. I've only used them. We got a car once and a van once (regular van nothing fancy). Drivers were awesome. Free grocery stop and very patient.

:) Very patient.....Mark our driver accidently gave us a bag of his groceries (dog food). I called as soon as I found it in the room and they had a good laugh. When he picked us up he had bought these little cans of food as "snacks" for his Rottweillers. So we kept his dogfod safe for the week we were there.

we have had very good experience with FL Tours. :thumbsup2
Since it has only been 2 or 3 of us on a trip we have used the Towncar option - not the van or limo.
