Good Afternoon All,

I love to read the posts on this board, I have gotten TONS of great info and sometimes not so great info.

I have a reservation for a Studio at BLT in February. 4 nights, upper floor requested with Lake view and partial MK view.

I have read all the things people have said about BLT on these boards and I am really starting to freak out.

I made the ressie at BLT for a couple of reasons. My first trip to WDW in 1971, my family and I stayed at the Contemporary. I will be traveling with my mom ( 81 at time of travel) and my daughter. So this is a full circle family trip celebrating my mother's and daughter's birthdays. I wanted to be close to MK and Epcot and to all the restaurants available at VWL and the Grand Floridian. BLT seemed like the perfect spot, plus it is brand new and my mom loves contemporary design.

Need some POSITIVE feedback please.

Some people will love it and some people won't. You may love BLT but you won't know till you try it. If you think it will be bad than your trip is starting off on a negative. Give it a chance and don't dwell on the negative points. Nothing will be perfect.

From what you mentioned, BLT sounds like it should be just right for you party.

I would get a 1 bedroom. If you can't do that, stay with the BLT studio and concentrate on the reasons you're going. You'll have a great time if you do that.

PS. I know people put in requests and everyone says "I know it's only a request" but your requests seem so specific. Is having a really great time at all dependent on having the best lake view possible? Don't set yourself up for disappointment.

Not enough points for a 1BR, we could do it at another resort, just not at BLT. Plan is for DD and I to sneak out to parks in the morning while my mom lounges, she is a slow morning gal. So, we wouldn't all be there at the same time all that much.

You really want BLT, that's obvious! Go, have a great time, and don't read any more posts with a symbol about people's stay in a BLT studio!

Just before our GG with 5 villas at BWV I read all sorts of bad things about BWV, and I was so concerned. Now I look back and think "duh" that was stupid to give credence to those posts. We had a great time. I hope you will too, a 3 generation trip sounds wonderful!!!! ENJOY it all!!!

New DVC's take time and people need to level their expectations. You will have a great time. I would not change a thing.

Nah, that's not the the problem at BLT. It's a beautiful resort, but the studio design has a lot of flaws.

OP, enjoy your stay. There are so many positive things about BLT that they should outweigh the negatives for your stay.

I don't mind the studio design so much, sounds a little odd but I don;t spend a whole lot of time thinking about stuff like that.....but....my mom will, interior designer that she is. I think the location will outweigh all the negs.

We stayed at SSR our first DVC trip.... I read all the horrible stuff about SSR and we loved it. Yes the busses are a pain but the resort is gorgeous!

Gonna try to avoid posts on BLT all together......unless of course there are huge wonderful smiley faces around them!

OK...I don't like the studio design, but DH and I will most likely spend a vacation in one because it's a great location. For that trip, the location will beat our reservations about the villa and for a stay that will include a weekend, we will not splurge on a 1 bedroom. YOU also think the location is great, you have memories to make with your DM and DD! Go for it!!!!

I think it is a terrible that BWV only has one set of elevators. BVC has 2...it's a more convenient set up. I think that's a design flaw but not something that I dwell on either.

I just spent that last 20 minutes or so weighing pros and cons. No way I am moving. It is a BEAUTIFUL resort, with flaws, don't they all have flaws?? Monorail, restaurants, observation deck, views, lake all beat out issues I may have with the studio set up.

PLUS, I have been on several cruises with my mom....If we can survive a tiny stateroom, this will be cake!

I LOVE the idea of getting up, hoping on the monorail and being at MK for rope drop, or Epcot for that matter. I will most definately report when I get back, okay so I am not leaving for 5 months BUT....you all get what I am saying

Sounds like to me you need go no further in positive responses. This will be a great resort for you to stay at.

Room size...no bother...you won't be in it that much anyway.
