Please tell me it won't be a madhouse!

Well I am from Michigan but I will also be at All Star Movies from Oct 4 - 11. My dad was born in Mobile and I have been there a few times. My uncle and cousin went to Auburn and are huge fans.

Sounds like crowds will be picking up. I am still so excited, can't believe the trip I have been planning since May is almost here...

Melanie, we are also going to MNSSHP on Sunday, Wishes on Thursday night and probably AK late Friday for the parade (and then onto Boma's for dinner) otherwise our itineraries are different! Sounds like you have a good mix of relaxation and parks planned (and not early mornings!)

I would start each day super early except for my extended family traveling with me. My brothers are huge night owls.

Have fun ya' all!!!

I just got back yesterday from WDW. We were there from 9/24-9/30. The crowds were not bad at all. I'm used to going in April, and in Sept it was a breeze to get on the rides. We pretty much walked on Space Mountain and Aerosmith roller coaster. There were waits in Fantasy Land, but we would fast pass a ride and then go ride some with smaller lines. The longest we ever waited was 15 mins. The worst day was Saturday. I think all the locals must come that day, otherwise it wasn't bad at all.
Have a fun trip...we did!

Hi Laurie31 and Crazy Kanga!
I'm also in AL and will start the drive at 6:30 AM on Saturday!!!
Staying in Movies and returning on the 11th.

AK in p.m. for parade at 4. DTD somewhere in between all this. Either of you going to be nearby at any of these times? I'll have on my lime green DIS button that I made. Look for me! Melanie

Hey! We'll be at the Movies Oct4-12! Our itinerary is totally different from yours except that we'll be at AK for the parade Friday as well! I'll have a lime green Mickey head ID too :) I'll look for you.

We're doing MGM Sunday, then MNSSHP that night, Epcot Monday - PSB, then ice cream social, then Fantasmic that night, Tuesday is SeaWorld, Wed is MK all day, starting with CRT :), Thursday is sleep in, rest up and hit Downtown Disney after lunch and swim at the resort that evening. Friday AK until close then Epcot for Illuminations. Saturday Epcot all day and hop to MK to catch Spectro and Wishes. Sunday will be our catch-up/repeat day, or whatever the kids are up to doing. If they're wiped out, we'll sleep in again or if they want to go back someplace we will.

Omgosh, it's in THREE DAYS!!! One week from *right now* I'll be dining in the castle! I'm so excited I can't stand myself - LOL :)

I hope everyone has a safe trip down and a magical time!

Laurie, off to pack some more :)

Hi Bama folks. We will be there (off site:( ) October 5-10.
Sunday-AK all day then Chef Mickey's at 8pm.
Monday-MK all day then MGM for Fantasmic
Tuesday-Sea World
Wednesday-MGM half daythen Epcot for dinner and Illuminations
Thursday-Epcot half day then MK for 5:30 dinner at CP Spectro and Wishes.
I can't wait!:D Things are looking up for crowds and weather. :)

I'm beginning to think less about the crowds and more about the weather. It looks like rain is moving in. We're going Oct. 9-16.

We'll be flying to FL on 10/7, but not going to WDW till 10/10-I didn't think C-Day was a big enough holiday to affect crowds much (and FTP, etc, oh well). We will be doing CM for dinner Sat 10/11, then going back to MK for Spectro & fireworks. I will expect major crowds, but hopefully it will not be as bad as it seems. If we can't do everything we want in the beginning, we have till 10/20 to finish up. I made a lot of PS for this trip (almost 1/day), so we'll probably spend a lot of time eating! We will also be at MNSSHP on 10/14, so we'll get some extra MK time. We've been a bunch of times before, so this trip is for DD1. I'm sure she won't mind the crowds that much!

Meagan's mom- The first year we were married, I thought maybe I had made a mistake marrying an Alabama grad. After almost 10 years, we've learned that if we watch the games in separate rooms we can survive it. We are from the Huntsville area too. I will have to check out Bama Fever. Thanks!

Mecook- Which part of Alabama are you driving from? We will leave Huntsville by 9:00 this Saturday. We are trying to avoid all football game traffic. It's about a 12 hour drive from here if you have kids who need to stop a lot. We've driven it 5 times in 3 years. It's not a bad drive though.

Since we have been to Disney twice this year already, this time we are going to Seaworld (Sunday), Busch Gardens (Monday), US/IOA (Tuesday and Wednesday), outlets!!! We will be at MNSSHP on Oct. 5th. Look for us there. I'll have my lime green. (We are staying at the Hard RocK Hotel. )

If you see us, say "Hello"!

We need to plan a North Alabama meet when we all get back. Maybe we can meet at Bama Fever. But seriously we need to do that and share pictures and talk about planning another trip.

Here's another one arriving on 10/4 and MGM for Fantasmic and Mk for the parade at 10!!
Also.....then AK on Sunday morning
AND.........MNSSHP Sunday evening!!!
AND.........Epcot on Monday evening....:p
AND.........Thursday at MK for the first "Wishes" !!!:p

Meagan's mom- That sounds like a blast! Just PM me the time and place when you get back. I'll be back on the 9th late so I can let you know abut crowds...

Cindyfan - the places you listed match me! Surely we can meet up sometime. Where are you staying?

Polkadotminnie - between Montgomery and the Florida line.

To all at the MNSSHP on Sunday, 10/5 - Are you meeting in front of the Haunted Mansion at 7:30 for a picture and to meet face-to-face? I'm going to be there if nothing hinders.

Melanie (3 sleeps to go!!!)

Or how about at the Disney Store!

mecook.........we are staying at the Poly this time.....
The last 2 October trips we stayed All Stars.
But this year......... DH has had a tough year at work and really wanted to stay delux this time. So we got the great AP rate!! So we are really excited!! It will be awesome to just hop the ferry back to our room after the party on Sunday!

Look for us at the Haunted Mansion between 7 and 7:30. We had planned BTMRR first, but now it will be HM!! Both of those are my DD favorites! Then we plan to find a spot for the parade.

WOW......just 2 days!!!!!!!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Hey Bama folks!
We are from the Huntsville area and are leaving tomorrow!!! I have been trying to plan a WDW trip for two years now, and am finally going to make it!! We are staying at Ft. Wilderness in our camper. Hope to run into some of you while we are there. MNSSHP on the 10th. I didn't realize that it was Columbus day weekend when I bought the tickets, but it's too late. I hope the crowds won't be unbearable.
DH and I haven't been to WDW in 10 yrs, and my kids ( 5&7 yr old boys) have never been.
We have a 2 week fall break and it seems like everyone around us is headed to Disney!

I'll put something lime green on the camper. So stop by if you see us, to say Hi!:bounce: :bounce:

ROLL TIDE!!!!! Class of '86:wave2:

I was the class of 86 also.

I teach in another district and my fall break doesn't start until Oct 11. So that is when we will leave and I will miss all the Alabama folks. We will have to plan a meet soon.

down for rehab. How in the world could you have missed reading about it here? It has been quite a hot topic.
See ya at the mansion! Melanie

mecook..........please re-read my post.....
I said "....we HAD planned BTMRR, but NOW it will be HM"
we planned BTMRR until we heard about the rehab........

I guess that isn't that clear. I was aware of the rehab as soon as the news came out. So, no I didn't miss seeing it here.:p

GOOD NEWS, REPORTS ARE COMING IN ALL WEEK THE CROWDS ARE SMALL. LITTLE TO NO WAIT. ENJOY THE MAGIC.

WEATHER IS PERFECT.

I certainly hope so!!!
