Ok they try to take away my "big" platform shoes NOOOOOOO now I see the pants are not flares, they are straigh legs again, nasty angel huggin !!! NOOOOOOOOOOO I won't wear them NO NO NO!!!!!

Please tell me flares are not going out of style anytime soon!!!!!!!!!!

I've noticed this, too! NO WAY can they take away those flared pants! I truly can't stand straight legged pants! They get on my last nerve!

I thought I saw somewhere that leg warmers were coming back. LEG WARMERS!

::yes:: Leg warmers were in style in the winter, too. DD had several pair. Brought me back just a few years...

I got my Victoria's Secret fall preview catalog the other day and almost got sick. It was like someone had reissued a catalog from 1985. The models were all wearing puffy shirts or leg warmers and big clunky belts. And leggings and stirrup pants under everything from long shirts to short skirts. Why, why, why?!?!?! It was hideous then, and it's hideous now. I wore all that stuff and cringe every time I see an old photo, apparently I should be proud since I was obviously ahead of my time. :thumbsup2

I guess thats one fashion train I won't be taking--

thinking you look good in leg warmers in a once in a life time event--
been there in the 80's

I would love for leg warmers be in style again. Winter in MN gets far too cold.

*Sigh* Back to the great looking skinny "heroin shiek" models of the 80's. Guess it's time to be old and out of style.

Bah...Kids today... ;)

few things are more evil than skinny legged jeans.

I will boycott. I have enough jeans to make it through two or three seasons of this. ;)

Yes, skinny jeans are back. :crazy2: Tucking them into knee high boots is a big look. Of course, topped off with a tunic, flowy shirt of some type.

I don't like it either. I'll keep wearing my flares.

I agree! But maybe I should stock up on my flares now just in case... I smell a shopping trip!

:thumbsup2 I'm in IL and I remember wearing leg warmers waiting for the school bus. I had NO IDEA they were a fashion statement. :rotfl: I thought they were awesome as they kept my legs warmer than just the jeans, especially since around here, they won't call off school unless it's a blizzard & then some. They just kind of disappeared and I never really thought much of it (I never really even knew it was a style until a few years back, I thought of them the same way I think of hats, gloves, scarfs -- just cold weather outerwear).

I should stock up on jeans too for DD, she *hates* straight legs on jeans and loves the flares. I just got her wearing jeans this year too because she is hard to fit. Of course, you could always get boot cut and that does tend to alleviate the tight leg fit problem (that's the kind my DH always gets and he doesn't even wear boots with them. Then again, he loved bell bottoms too way back when -- he's older than me! :rotfl: )

Ugh. I can't stand the 'jeans tucked into boots' look. It just looks HORRIBLE, IMO.

Didn't you just describe a pirate? ;)

I personally don't mind straight leg jeans and baggy shirts. As long as I don't have to wear tapered legs and teeny tiny knit shirts that show off every bulge and bump. :sad2:

I think style and fashion are two different things. Fashion is what is in the mags... style is something a single person has.

Example: my style is capris and "boyfriend" shirts (wife-beaters hehe).

I would not wear straight leg pants.. they bother me. I feel sufficated. Don't get ride of your flares cuz others aren't wearing them. Forget what other people do. Wear what makes YOU feel comfy. :)

HA! I waited and waited and now will be back in style again. Of course, two weeks after I buy a pair of these ridiculous pants they decide to get rid of them. :)

Guess what else, girls? Today my stylist put mousse in my hair. She didn't call it mousse, but that's what it was.

I think Big Hair may make a comeback! Hooray! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Oh, happy day! Big hair and straight pants! Now if I could just get the big lacey bows to come back in style, it would be total bliss! :goodvibes
