Should I be worried about this? Im starting to panic a bit. Probably not really anything too seriously worry about. I think im more psyching myself out and over this more then I need to, so I though I would come straight to the source....

I am leaving less then 2 weeks for my lovely Vacation to Disneyland  and I have been hearing numerous things about crowds being insane on Sundays because of blackouts for annual passes on Saturday's or something like that. And parking lots have been turning people away because they are full. My flight arrives at SNA Sunday morning at 11:00. We always head straight to our hotel, drop our things and head to the park. I am not driving to the park as my hotel is within walking distance (Tropicana). We should be at the park around 12:30 in the afternoon. Crowds eh I can deal with, but I am just worried about it being so packed they wont let anyone into the park and I will be too late.

How have crowds been lately? Do you think I would have a problem?

I was recently at Disneyland on a Sunday. And surprisingly the crowds were very light compared to the friday i was there. The longest line i seen was 40 minutes for Nemo and Indy. Dont stress yourself too much. Their was a lot of rides that were less than 5 minute wait or walk on.

Inlovewithbuzz I am Inlovewithyou! :cloud9: THANK YOU! This makes me feel quiet a bit better

Sundays do seem busier than Saturday (contrary to usual logic), but you should be fine in terms of being locked out. It's not very often crowded to that point. Don't panic, time to get excited. You're going to Disneyland! :cool1:

Thanks Disney Dreams. I am getting super excited. Like I feel like Buzz Lightyear, im buzzing so much in excitement.

Hey- I was just there this past Sunday and my experience was:

a- with parking, they DID turn us away from the main Mickey lot and made us park in some place called GARDEN WALK (which was fine, it was a short 3-5 min bus ride to and from the park...it was actually much faster than waiting in line 10-15 min to get on the tram in the main lot...I will park there again if I have the chance). But when I asked the attendant at Garden Walk why we were being diverted there, he said they EXPECTED the park to be full. Not sure why we- who got there at like 8:45am- were being forced to park somewhere else versus filling up the park's core lots first and then moving the later arriving folks out to other lots...but it worked out and was actually better than parking at a core DL park. The Garden Walk buses were running constantly with no waits...you just walked up and a bus was waiting for you. Go Garden Walk if you can!

b- with crowds, it was SOOOOO nice and empty- for the most part- on Sunday morning and early afternoon. Many of the rides we got on (Snow White, Pinochio((sp?)), Casey Jr.) had NO lines and the other rides that had lines were very short (Jungle Cruise, Dumbo, etc). Granted, we were going on the kiddy rides (cause I had my 2 kids with me) but it seemed a pretty empty place (for Disneyland) for a good, long while. Not as nice as DL in the offseason on a weekday, but I was thrilled cause I was worried about crowds as well.

However, around 3 things started getting a little nuts with 65 min waits for the more popular rides like SOARIN OVER CALIFORNIA.

Over the years tho, I think Disney has gotten better and better at keeping the lines moving and even with the crowds, it was not a bad experience for us at all.

Hope that helps. Have a great trip....how can you not?!?! It's Disney! Heck, I went twice last week and am already jonesing to go back!!! What is wrong with me?!?! :)

We were there Sunday the 26th. Crowds were pretty bad IMO. I don't know if everyone knew Pirates was going down or what, but even the wheelchair line was even outragious, and they had CM directing it! Monday actually wasn't much better. Wednesday was nice though. lol

I've pretty much given up in hopes of finding the low crowd weeks. I think if it's less crowded ya just got lucky.

what are the slow days of the year for disneyland in june? any ideas or experiences to share

That was the first Sunday of the Food and Wine Festival. Might have been a crowd factor.

Slow, Disneyland, June - not 3 words that usually go together. Sorry, but just being honest. Your best shot is early in the month when not all schools are out yet. However, there is the last week of the Food and Wine Festival through June 7th.

Your best bet is to know it will be crowded and just plan accordingly. :wizard:

I was there a week ago sunday (April 26th) and crowds weren't bad. Busier than a week day but not too bad at all :) You will be fine!! Indy at some times was only 20 mins, 20 for space...etc. They did go up in the late afternoon to around 45 mins to an hour but that isn't bad either. Hope you have a great trip! :)

This is great. Thanks so much for the advice everyone. I was like in an awake nightmare. You know those dreams you get a week before you leave where your at the airport ready to board and you forgot your passport, plane tickets or something at home and you start freaking out, or your late for your flight etc? Its been like this but while awake! :lmao: Im happy its over now.

Are you in my nightmare????? Fear, the only thing to fear is fear itself!!!! I fear the fear that I feel and I hate it. I want my vacation to hurry up just so I can stop worrying about forgetting something like the tickets!!! ahhhhhhhh, the insanity:scared1:

Really you didn't find that crowded? We did get there in the afternoon though. We saw the 45-60 minute lines, and I do find that bad! LOL

I'm disappointed in the crowds during "non-peak times". Not the way it used to be. Where not only did you have small lines (I'm talking walk on PP), but you could walk freely without crowds of people everywhere. I'm guessing that has more to do with AP's and locals, then it does tourists.

I just wish they'd stay open till at least 10 pm at DL, and 9pm at DCA. The crowds are good enough for it.

I 2nd this. I want it here NOW! So I can stop going over all documents and everything, and going back to make sure they are still there.

Parking is going to continue to be a problem for quite some time at DLR, so you'd be silly if you didn't take into account the time it can take to find an open parking lot and walk/ride to the entrance plaza.

You may have read in other posts that people may be directed to park at Garden Walk. In fact, guests were even using the Convention Center's spaces on Sunday. There is shuttle service available from Garden Walk, but if you end up at the C.C., you will need to walk to Timon to catch a tram.

There is now bus service available from Pumbaa. There is currently none from Simba, but that is planned to be implemented soon. If you go on a horrifically busy day and are forced to use Buzz Lightyear, buses will take you to DLR.

:rotfl: HAHA! This I will not disagree with! :upsidedow

I forgot to mention that we will be wearing black hoodies with

on the back.

charmama4 that's awesome! Did someone create that logo? I will keep a lookout for that too!
