I have been doing pretty well..lost 17lbs since starting on WW Jan 7.
Last night, dh wanted to go out badly, so we did......pizza and beer... :(
But, man was it wonderful! It was nice to go out to a nice place and have fresh pizza and a pitcher of (lite) beer! LOL!

I am right back on it today....no doubt! But, I just need some encouragment that it was okay.....

I even thought of all of you last night....thinking, wait till I tell my WISH pals! LOL!!!!!

Kamy

You are FINE!!! Every now and then you just need to go out and have a good time!!! Nothing to worry about.

Of course, you are going to be okay! Now, get back to counting those points! And don't think about beating yourself up over that pizza. We can't be perfect all the time! :)

I can smell the pizza........ummmmmm!

You are fine! :) There is nothing wrong with some pizza and beer ONCE in a while! ;) I'm sure you could find a way to fit them into your points once a week if you wanted (in moderation!) Don't even think about using all your points on a pitcher of beer in one day, my goodness, you'd be on the sofa all day... ;)

Just keep on doing what you were doing before and all will be well!!! :)

You know, you will be fine! You have made a choice, guilt free (mostly) and are now back on. Everyone deserves a small break, just get back with it is all. As long as you don't make it an all the time choice. You got it!

Thanks everyone! Just need some reassurance! Helps so much to have support!!! :)

It is way okay!! I am trying (emphasize trying) to follow the somersize diet but I know I'm a carbo junkie and the thought of never being able to eat a slice of fresh warm bread with butter would send me over the edge!! Everyone deserves a treat - just don't do it all the time.

I also wanted to ask if you've ever been to Big Bear Lodge? I love that place and it's almost certainly guaranteed to test your will power!

CrzyforPiglet-Big Bear Lodge is near my house. They have great food. They serve Buffalo which is great alternative to beef....hardly any fat! :) Plus their salads are great!
But I always need the desserts! Yum....
So I try not to go there right now! LOL!!!!

Thanks,
Kamy

I think it is great that you got to enjoy a meal that you love, you shouldn't ruin it by feeling guilty. You're going to be fine. You got right back on program today and that is the most important thing.

Kamy,

Something you might want to try:

I have had days like yours, when I think I've really blown it with a huge, indulgent meal. (Like the yummy pasta primavera with alfredo sauce and wine from Saturday night, or the delicious and huge chicken quesadillas from yesterday's lunch!:p ) The thought can be a little overwhelming. BUT: then I'll sit down and honestly try to calculate the points from the bad day or meal. Somehow, the reality is never quite as bad as I've imagined.

The chicken quesadillas from yesterday? I tried to objectively count the points, and figured 15 points. (Yikes!) But I had steamed veggies for dinner and a frozen fudge pop for dessert, and still stayed within my points for the day. The pasta alfredo? After calculating, I was easily able to cover it with a few banked points from the days before.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that the "bad" you imagine is sometimes not really so bad, in reality!

And, even if you *did* blow it big time with your pizza party, an occasional blowout is not going to make any difference. Consider it "therapy"!!

Congratulations, Kamy, 17 pounds is a fantastic loss.

You will be okay! You need to have some flexibility in your life and one night of pizza and lite beer will not spoil all your hard work if you don't let it. I would say a night out was well deserved after a loss like you have had.

:bounce::wave::bounce:

Kamy, you're all good. I eat half of a medium Domino's cheese pizza once a week, and still lose!!

My roomate (who is also a weight watcher) and I have one night a week as pizza night, since I'm a pizza-holic! Each week, both of us lose!

I think you'll even be more likely to stick with the program if you can have something you really want anyway. For me, a sure way to set myself up for "failure" is to make something a forbidden food. The thought that I can't ever have something that I really used to enjoy is depressing....and destined to eventually cause me to "rebel" and abandon the plan.
By choosing to have your pizza and beer, you have proven to yourself that you can still enjoy some of your past favorites AND continue with the program. That makes it a program that you can stick with for life!
