On 9/10 we will be leaving Newark Airport at 11:05 a.m., arriving in Orlando at 1:43 p.m. I would like to do the Fantasmic! Dinner Package that night. (We usually go the MGM on the first day we get there). Do you think I am nuts in planning to do the dinner package the night we arrive? I have to start making my PS reservations soon, and I want to make sure that I am not being ridiculous. Thanks A Lot!! :earboy2:

No, I don't think you're crazy. We always go to LTT and watch Wishes and SPectro our first night so I don't see any difference. If that's what you want to do enjoy it.

Absolutely... Do it!!! Our family tradition is to have PS at Liberty Tree the night we arrive and then watch Wishes. It's a great way to start your vacation. Nothing like starting it w/ a "BANG" Have lots of fun!!!

I don't think you are crazy at all. We did the fantasmic dinner package on our first whole day. We went to TL in the AM/early afternoon then to the hotel then to MGM for the evening. I thought it was a great way to end the day. You can do some rides, then have a nice relaxing evening with dinner and fantasmic! :goodvibes

Have a magical trip! princess:

Sounds like a good plan to me! Our past two trips we did the FDP on our arriving night. IT was a great start to our vacation.

The only hesitation that I would have is the tendency for FDP to start at 3:30 or 4. That might be cutting it close. However, if you can get the latest time available for the package...or get it moved later closer to the date, I think that it would be great! That said, I have done Fantasimic on arrival day several times, just never with teh package.
