I have not bought just yet but may do so this week. Is the how things work. I buy AKV as my home resort. Then I buy 25 points from disney at the BCV. Can these 25 points get me the 11 month window to book at BCV? And can I only use my 25 pts (plus any borrowed or banked) to get my foot in the door and make an 11 month reservation and also use all my AKV points? (If this confused you you are not alone).

The points from each resort have the priority window at their resort only. Given your scenario, the most points you'd have available for the 11 month priority at BCV would be 75, every 3rd year, through banking and borrowing.

With 25 BCV points you could only book 25 points worth of nights at the 11 month window (75 points worth if you bank and borrow to the max). Then at 7 months, you could try to add days to the original reservation with your other points.

One cannot mix points from different resorts to use at the 11-month point.

That would not be fair. Example, someone purchases a load of points at a resort where the dues is less and the cost per point is less. Then someone purchases a very small contract at the place they really want to stay and use the cheaper points to book at 11 months. If it sounds too good to be true, it is too good to be true.
