Please tell me if this is "appropriate" in concierge

Did I hear "wine"? Is that part of the perks along with the cookies and snacks or do you pay extra for alcoholic bevs? Sorry for my lack of knowledge. Spent all my money on my education and just now am starting to make enough to enjoy the sweet life...

Yes, wine and beer are served from 5-7pm and after dinner drinks from 8-10 pm. No charge but it is one drink/adult at a time.

There is nothing wrong with your plan as others have already said. I witnesed a couple in bath robes in the lounge at the Grand Floridaian.

It was so blasted hot outside, that I was only comfortable indoors( I am dealing with "power surges"), and there were several other women there, too!

Forgot to say that I love the plan of just hanging around on a solo trip. I'm thinking that running away from home and doing just that sounds wonderful!

Our friends just stayed at AKV (concierge)...Yes I did "visit"..please dont flame me....anyway, I would hang out there! Its cozy, beautiful and peaceful...I would choose 5-7pm...WINE I liked it better than the YC concierge...I was a "paying" visitor there, lol!

I did this once when I was too hung over to go to the parks. Couldn't stay in the room all day, housekeeping has to come in sometime.

We have a concierge level room booked for the Saturday we get off the cruise. I particularly wanted to do this since we get off the ship so early, and I was worried about possibly being tired and homeless for the greater part of the day. Having the concierge level means we can at least chill out in the lounge until our villa is ready if we don't want to go to the parks.

We also plan to do the Sunrise Safari the next morning and then fly out for home that night, and we will have the lounge to relax in before heading to the airport.

So, over the course of two days, I expect we will spend a lot of time in that lounge, maybe not all day, but a lot of time. I was concerned about being able to use the lounge so much , so I called them and was told there would be no problem.

Not sure if it has been mentioned, but you can also fix a plate and take food and beverage back to your villa. Enjoy your stay and make the most of that lounge.

I certainly hope it's okay cause that's what DH & I are doing in May. We had a trip planned for last December and had to cancel due to a surgery my dad had to schedule. Everything went well with the surgery and we had some points we HAD to use that were reservation points. MS was great with all my going back and forth on days and we ended up using them for the Atrium concierge level at the Contemporary. It's just one night (the night we arrive) so I told my DH that we're eating our lunch from what's in the lounge.

We have an ADR at 'Ohana's that evening, but I'm coming back and grabbing some desserts to store for the next day ... I certainly won't be able to eat it that night! We've never used concierge before and certainly won't be booking outside the DVC points in the near future.

All in all we're excited about our one night of pampering ... well, let's face it, we feel pampered just being in DVC so it is all good.
