Please tell me how the 180 + 10 works...

January 8 is 180 days until we arrive at WDW. Since we will not be making an ADR for our arrival date, the 180 window for the first TS is on January 9. Which day can I use for making my ADR's? Will I be able to make my ADR's for the week on that date? Does it matter that our first night is a room only at Pop, and that our package with dining starts the next night? If I decide to go ahead and make an ADR for our arrival date and later cancel it, will that interfere with the other ADR's?

The 180+10 as far as I understand it, means you can make ADR's for your entire stay at 180 days from your check in date (if you have a 10 day stay then that is 180+10 days for your last day).

You can book, rebook, cancel and change your ADR's as often as you like. That is so long as you find openings. Canceling one has no effect on the others.

Also, it seems Disney does not release all its tables for the 180+10 ressies, so if you don't get what you are looking for call at the actual 180 day mark.

Now when it was 90 days to book it was really 91 from the actual day you wanted ressies (90 days before the date). I am not sure if that is still true but I am sure someone here will know.

As you get close, just give a call. The Disney date count is a little wierd, so give Dining a call toward the end of December and let them know when your checkin date is, and tell them you want to know when to call back for ADR's using the 180+10 count. They'll give you the exact date.

I thought that the 180 plus 10 meant that anyone could make ressies 180 days out from the date they would like but people staying on Disney property could call an extra 10 days prior to their arrival. Not sure on this but that is what I thought.
