DH & I cruised last November (3-day) and will return next November (7-day). We are not big 'kid' people but we are big Disney
Freaks.
We loved the cruise though the first night scared me to death because the ship was rocking pretty bad for about 5 hours
I was very, very ready to get off the ship in Nassau, despite the nasty rumors that it isn't a nice place to visit. We really liked the straw market. If you equate poverty with misery you won't like it. We found it charming, I digress...
We played batgammon in Diversions two of the three nights on the ship before dinner. We didn't see any of the shows. We did the REAS package and loved every single part of it. We had our Christmas card picture taken in our dress clothes with Mickey. We napped
and relaxed and really enjoyed ourselves, so much in fact that we are going again next year.
Because you are self proclaimed Disney Freaks, you will love the cruise and find yourself relaxing into the lack of heavy drinkers, obnoxious people and inapropriate behavior. It just seems like we Disney folks want to have good clean fun and people seem to relax and enjoy the ship rather than over-doing their vacation.
I second the thought of spending some quality time at Serenity Bay on CC. The family beach was nice but SB is SILENT and almost deserted. There were maybe 30 people at SB the day we were there. The family beach was packed and the music was really loud and obnoxious. There is no music, other than the music of the waves and the bartenders at SB.
Go. You will love it. But please book your next cruise while you are on the ship. You WILL go back and WILL be disgusted, as we were, that you didn't take advantage of the $$$$ savings opportunity given on board.
Enjoy!
