Please tell me about your experiences in January!!

I know you've had a lot of responses, but FWIW we went in Jan back around 1995(I think...), and we wore shorts and t-shirts. It was probably in the 70s when we went. We live in PA, so we are used to cold Jan. weather. Jan. FL weather was great! The crowds were non-existant. No waits for anything.

We also went this past january, Thursday was beautiful 70 degrees, no crowds...fri, sat , sun, poured rain, 40's wind chill in the 30's, the morning we left, the real temp was 38 degrees. It was miserable weather. plus the largest convention in orlando history, so everything was crowded.

This is an unusual experience, I'm from Florida, and 3 constant days of rain and cold don't happen too often.

My inlaws go every winter, either the week before or after MLK holiday,and before the Daytona 500, and they have always had pretty good weather and no crowds.

You just don't know about the weather. You just have to keep watching it.

But despite the weather, we had a great time both trips, I personally would rather go in the summer, I really hate any temps less than 70 degrees, but you wouldn't catch the inlaws there any other time!

We went the week of Jan. 24th 2004 and really enjoyed it. We are from a state that is frozen in winter so anything above 20 degrees would have been great with us. We did one day at Blizzard Beach and had no problem with the air temp. The pool at our hotel was freezing even though they claimed it was a heated pool. Overall, I don't really remember putting on more then a light jacket in the evening. The lack of lines is what made Jan. so totally perfect.

Last year I went Dec 29-Jan 7th! It was the best!!!! Not a drop of rain the whole time! Weather was great during the day and at night. Could swim, the pools were heated! It was comfortable all around. Crowd was gone on the 2nd on. Was an awesome time to go!
