Please tell me about the ladybug release at GF!

Can someone fill me in on the ladybug release at GF (saw this on the Travel Channel, I hope they still do this). I guess I need to know everything...day of week, time, how long does it last, cost, etc. Also, if you've gone do you feel the time is well spent?

I always thought this was a Polynesian and WL event, not at the GF.

When you check in they give you a brochure will be listed there.

There's also a free early morning garden tour at teh BC withthe horticulture staff, again, details are listed in teh newspaper you get at check-in.

I just found this on wdwig.com...I wonder if the ladybug release part is outdated. If not, I'd love to hear others experiences. The only problem with it being on a Thursday is that is also an early entry day at MK.

Is this a kid-friendly environment where we will be comfortable bringing children?

Yes. Children and families with children will not feel out of place.

Besides the theme parks, there are a number of activites for children (special ticket/reservation required) including a Wonderland Tea Party, Pirate Cruise and the Kid Adventures in Cooking.

Arts and Crafts are available by the pool on Saturdays, Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12:30pm (as of July 2001). Activities may include painting, coloring, sponging, puppet making.

Adventure Time - may be a game, water balloon toss or something else, daily at the pool 3:30pm

Lady Bug Release - Every Thursday at 11:00 am in the 1900 Park Fare Herb Garden

Children can enjoy the pool, boats at the marina, and the video games at Gasparilla Grill & Games .
