Good or Bad? Is there any entertainment? Singing waiters? How is the food? Is it kids friendly?

Thanks

no singing, strolling, dancing or any other entertainment. food is good...... service is spotty..........desserts are small but very tasty. get the kids the flatbread pizza.

I will be completely honest with you and say we have gone to Mama Melrose on our last 4 trips and until the last trip we LOVED it there. The food was always great, service wonderful and we loved the cozy atmosphere and feeling like we were in an italian garden or mom's pizza shop. However, our last time, the food wasn't as wonderful as usual. It was very good just not as great as the other times. The service was still wonderful though. Even though our last trip wasn't as great as others, we still plan on going back just not on our next trip!

We ate there for the first time last year. Our experience was good, not great, but we are giving it another chance this year. I had the grilled chicken flatbread and it was yummy. My husband had the chicken parm and it was just ok. Our son had the pizza and it too was yummy. As with anything, everyone has their own opinion, but I think it's worth a try.

Thanks,

My boys love Penne a la Vodka and it is on the menu here. Has anyone tried it?

I was thinking that I would get it as my entree and let them share it. I will eat their kids meal. Will this work?

Always seeing very mixed reviews. Will be giving it a shot in September. Hoping for the best.

We've been to Mama Melrose three times, twice with kids. We have never had problems with the service as far as I remember.

I think the quality of the cooking has decreased over the years. Our first trip was the best. 2006 and 2009 weren't as good. Our favorite dish is no longer served (actually they serve it at Cali Grill now). DW had the pipette pasta this past trip and was very unhappy with how bland it was. I forgot what I had, but I think I remember liking it OK. Dessert was good, though, now that we have learned to avoid the tirimisu (was better in 2002 and then they changed how the made it).

If it wasn't for the fact that we wanted a Fantasmic dinner package, we would probably not eat here. I doubt we will be back in our next few trips.

Yes, i've had that entree before - it comes in very large bowl - easily enough for the boys to share. I ejoyed it very much

May i also suggest you get a carafe of the Sangria - it is slightly efferevesent and a nice light addition to the meal

Oh, I love Sangia, thanks!

We went in May 2009 - I was a little concerned over the mixed reviews but it was good.
