Hi, getting ready for our spring break vacation.

DH loves steak and wants to try out Le Cellier @ Epcot. We also have a toddler (eats anything) and DD (picky, picky eater). Will this restaurant be okay for them? I checked out the menu for adult dinner.

What do you recommend? Is the cheese soup really good?

I don't want to miss the fireworks, what time should I make ps for? Is the view in Canada (for fireworks) nice?

Thanks in advance for any information.

Le Cellier should be fine. They are very child friendly. The steaks are excellent, as is the cheese soup. Don't forget the pretzel breadsticks and the wonderful desserts too.

The Illuminations fireworks will be at 9 pm. Even with PS, we have had to wait 15 minutes or more for a table to be ready, so plan accordingly. I would try to get a PS no later than 7:30 pm. You may even what to try for 7 pm. The view from Canada and the adjacent UK area is quite good, although it may be hard to find a place to sit after 8:45 pm, since this area seems to get crowded with folks planning to leave via the nearby International Gateway right after the show.

We tried Le Cellier for the first time last Dec., and can't believe it took us so long!! Great restaurant, delicious food, what's not to like? There are lots of kid-friendly items on the kids menu, I don't know how old your picky, picky DD is, but my picky, picky DS always orders off the kids menu, even though he is now 16!! They are very accommodating about this at WDW, otherwise DS wouldn't get to eat!!

DD(14) had the scallops and I had the mushroom filet - YUMMM!! We also had the honey cheesecake, and a double chocolate bread pudding, both to die for!!

I see you will be there at the same time as us!! Can't wait, how 'bout you?!:teeth:

Thanks for the great information!

K&A&C'sMom, WOW............we'll be there too! Yes, we're VERY excited and these 12 days seem to be dragging! Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait!

Have a safe and happy trip!

I am featuring Le Cellier on my web site this month. A very wonderful DISer, hulagirl, was kind enough to write up her family's experiences there.

Just use the links in my signature and I must apologise in advance if your mouth starts to water. :teeth:

We went for lunch at LeCellier, and it was ok. I know most people LOVE the cheese soup, but I have tasted better at O'Charley's! It was ok, though. Of course, I did love the variety of breads on the table! Everyone has their own tastes...

I agree...we tried it last August for lunch; it happened to be my husband's birthday. The breads were really good and I did try the cheese soup. The meals were o.k. but nothing special and it was expensive. We had to wait for a table but that was o.k. because my 13 year old daughter thought the host guy who was at the check in desk was really cute. After we finished eating and were on our way out she begged me to ask him if he would pose for a picture with her and he was happy to. It's still stuck to our fridge:rolleyes:
