Please tell me about Fantasmic!

Some say to arrive as much as 2 hours early. There are dinner and show combos if you're interested. It's a 25 minute show, and in my uninformed opinion, it is one of the best shows at WDW. Click here for more info http://www.wdwig.com/m_fantasmic.htm

Go EARLY! How early seems to be the question. I would suggest maybe an hour at least. There are some food stands with I think chicken fingers and maybe pizza slices so you can eat a snack or supper there. A lot of my friends get the dinner package and have reserved seats. We didn't decide to go until the last min. so we took our chances and wound up standing the whole time.

We always arrive for Fantasmic about 45 minutes to an hour early. We have done the dinner package, but that was before the changes were made. We don't do the package now because we just don't eat that much food. It seems very expensive if you are a light or average eater. Anyway, Fantasmic is, in our opinion, the BEST show on Disney property. We never miss it and often try to make it to two shows during our stay. The wait time is WELL worth the show! Have a great time!

We got there about 2 hours before and we were too close!!! Don't sit too close as the fire on the water, etc gets HOT (you know how when you do the back lot tour and they set off the fires and you can feel the heat... like that hot!) and you will get slightly wet. People next to us brought doritos and drinks in their purses, lol, and we were wishing we had done the same.

About 1 hour before (this was 3 years ago), a very funny comedian came out and worked the crowd..which was nice.

I agree it was the most excellent live production I had seen in a long time... it was simple fantasmic! I *highly* recommend it.. We're going to try to make it our first night there...

It would help to know the time of year you are travelling to really offer opinions on how early you need to arrive.

If you go early, keep in mind that they are concrete seats with no backs, and it can be a LONG wait. Very much worth it though. It's a great show!

What a great idea to have a comedian to entertain the waiting crowd! Don't you wish there was more of this type of strolling entertainment for all those long lines?

This show is not to be missed. If there are two shows that evening, do the later one. The further back you are, the better the view. The closer you are, the more you will feel the mist and heat. I've been in both positions, so try to get a seat as far back as possible. ::MinnieMo

We were there on Monday (last week) and went 1 hour prior. Much to my surprise it was almost full, and we were seated on the far left side. The middle is the best, but the show is still excellent from any seat. At about 7pm it was standing room only, and I would say the park wasn't very busy that day.
Judge your timing accordingly, but I would say a minimum of 1 hour prior.

This is just great getting more tips!!! I think I might take my little foam stadium seat with a back on it as my back gets tired!!! Thanks again so much!

We've been seated up close to front, and we have gotten more than misted! We got quite wet. Wish we had been warned. Our kids just loved the show. Thought it was the best. Enjoy! And definitely bring a snack! :)

Wow last monday it was getting full an hour prior!!!
I was going to say an hour should be plenty of time!! I guess what they are saying about the crowds is true!
We usually go about an hour before and have always been in the middle section.
This may make me rethink things for next week...hmmm????

Anyway...fantasmic is not to be missed!!!

It is my absolute favorite!::yes::

My family went (wife, daughter who was 4 and son who was 2) and all of us thought it was amazing. We did a package dinner thing and didn't have to wait long and got good seats, so the dinner can be worth it if you are going to be eating in the park anyway. We will definitely go again on our next trip. We sat somewhat close to the front, and had our raingear on as people said we would likely get splashed. For whatever reason (perhaps because the dinner package seating is off to one side) we didn't get very wet, and we were only a few rows back (I'd guess four or five, but don't remember exactly).
