Please tell me about Dinosaur

Ever been on Indiana Jones at Disneyland? It's pretty much the same ride.

Dinosaur goes something like this...

Dark, dark, dark, DINOSAUR!
Dark, dark, dark, DINOSAUR!
Dark, dark, dark, DINOSAUR!
Dark, dark, dark, DINOSAUR!
Gift shop!

:)

Every time I ride, I look around the car I'm in and see the kids. 9/10 they come off crying. It's loud and pitch black for over half the ride. Still one of my top 5 attractions though.

I'm sure when the parents complain, Disney just points out the sign and says "sorry! you were warned!"http://www.****************/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/Dinosaur-Warning-Sign-and-Height-Requirement-sign-Animal-Kingdom.jpg

No drops but you ride in a big vehicle (think oversized Jeep or Humvee) and it does get bouncy like you are off-roading. There are parts where you turn kind of quick or the vehicle is going over very uneven terrain. That’s what makes it jerky.

Thank you. Good information.

Love Countdown to Extinction .... I mean Dinosaur! What surprised me more is that my girls (3 and 6 when we went last year) Loved it too! The wife, not so much lol

Very vey jerky....so much so that I giggled the whole way through like a little kid.:tongue::tongue::tongue::tongue::tongue::tongue::tongue::tongue::tongue:
Definitely my favorite ride at AK....of course it won't be until next month I experience FOP.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! i LOVE the face of the woman second from the left on the front row! That pretty much exactly how i feel on Dinosaur too, so i get it.

It is very jerky, but we love it. My middle child used to beg to ride it and then bury his face in my arm (until I told him that he, at least, needed to look at the friendly dinosaurs). Now, we all ride it and purposely look scared for the picture. It's one we'll even stand in line for if we don't have FPs.

"They're not gonna make it! They're not gonna make it! ...You made it. I knew you would." We quote those lines whenever applicable.

I find it very jerky and do not ride as a result. I have has several spine surgeries and find this very bad on my back/neck. For context, I ride almost everything else at Disney without an issue, except for Dinosaur, Space Mountain, and Autopia at MK.

We introduced DS7 to Dinosaur when he was 4. It's been our favorite ride ever since. Our last AK day that trip we rode it 4 or 5 times straight at the end of the day with no line. It is every thing people have said it is-rough, jerky, loud, dark-and I really didn't think he would ever get on it none the less love it. If you are physically able give it a chance.

DS16 and I went to WDW for a day back in August. We rode FOP first ride. He ranked it 6th on his list...behind EE, Space, TT, Splash and TOT. Third for me behind TOT and EE.

The jerkiness does not bother me. I love Indiana Jones at Disneyland. No drops, just kind of bouncy. I hate the dark and the dinosaurs. I ride since my Mom loves it, but we have several pictures of me on it with my face buried in her arm or lap. And if I do manage to keep my eyes open or not buried in my Mom's side, the scream I let out at the end is pretty loud and shrill. I never knew I could scream like that until that ride.
