I am really starting to feel like I need a cricut, mostly because I would love to use it to make an autograph book! Can you please tell me about it? I am clueless.....I know there are a few differnt types of machines, what is the difference? Which one do I NEED? ;) What is a good price? Do cartridges work in all the machines? Would love any info you can give me!

On a side note would I be better off just buying characters or whatever from ebay?

Thanks!

I believe there are three machines, the original, the Create, and the Expression. I started with the original (and loved it!), and moved up to an Expression about a year and a half ago, and I can't work without it! I use it for nearly EVERY page or card I make.

The Expression cuts up to 12x24, the original only does 6x12. I am completely in the dark about the Create.

You would neeeeeeed the Disney carts (they go on sale all the time, $30 a month or so ago at Michael's) to get the characters and names, but you could use any font cartridge (or Sure Cuts a Lot - a computer program that works like the Cricut Design Studio, but uses any true type font on your computer or downloaded from the 'net), to cut out the letters.

I suggest you check out www.cricut.com and see some of the things people have made, as well as get some info on each machine.

AC Moore has a "bundle" deal going on now Click me. You get 4 carts, a set of markers, and the machine for $325. I'm unsure of shipping costs though.

I would HIGHLY recommend the machine!

Have fun researching!

I have both the baby and the create, I had brought the baby but decided that I wanted the create because of some of the features. I didn't want the expression because it's to big. I have my baby for sale at a good price, pm me if you are interested. It's a good machine and less expensive to see if you like it.
