This will be our first visit to Disney EVER!!! We are super excited! We want to do everything so we will be taking advantage of FP’s and “parent swaps”! We will be taking a daily break from the parks to rest and relax. Any advice is greatly appreciated – really! I’m a little concerned about how the parent swap will affect our touring plans – what do you all think? :confused3

I'm here.

Your plans look good so far!! You are smart to plan a "wing it day". ;) We are planning to play our last 2 days by ear as well.

Get ready...you are going to get hooked on WDW!! But you'll be in good company!

I agree. Your plans look great.

With the age of your children, it would certainly be smart to take a break during the day. However, sometimes the time that you sit down and watch a parade can be enough. Normally, people line up well in advance for the parade. Then once the parade is over and they get moving again, they could have been sitting there for an hour or so. This can sometimes be enough of a break. You'll have to play it by ear. This is especially true in MK because there is sooo much that your kids are going to want to do, and there is sooo much that you are going to want to do.

No matter what though, your going to have a blast and you'll fall in love with Disney like the rest of us. Since this is your first trip make sure you take your time and don't try to do EVERYTHING because that can be stressful. If you don't get to see something, don't worry, you WILL be back again, and again, and again.

Have a magical vacation.

I'm sorry if this sounds negative or i offend you in any way but I think if you were going with adults or much older children then you may not have problems doing 9 hour days in a park - but actually i think i (and our boys ages 22, 21 & 17-all veteran park visitors) would be exhausted after just two of these marathon days.

I quess i just want to suggest to be flexible with your plans - dont be diappointed if this is too ambitious for two young children, there is ALOT of stimuli in disney and it can be exciting but also overwelming for young children. If you push the kids too far, they will become exhausted screaming little critters making the trip awlful for everyone.

Remember what you dont get to on this trip only forces you to return - which is a win-win for everyone:rotfl:

Breaks are much needed, and everyone will be much happier! Subscribe to Tourguidemike if you haven't already. We went over Spring Break last year with a 3 year old, 5 year old and 6 year old...and TGM made our trip great! Yeah we missed some things, but we had so much fun...and we'll do those missed things on our next trip in Sept!

Your plans look great! You will have long days but if you pace yourself and listen to your kids - their body language will tell you when they've had enough - you can make it work. Taking breaks for snacks while watching the parades, etc will surely re-energize them to keep going. It's so magical you'll all want to simply take in as much as you can. Have a great time!
