I have done 2 Disney cruises now and have had one marginal server team, and one amazing server team. Would like some suggestions for a fast approaching cruise. Thanks in advance.

Just got off the Magic yesterday. We had Tiger ( Thailand) and Gerry ( Philippians) and we loved them. We were a group of all adults (22 yo to 65 yo) and Tiger still did magic tricks for us each night, knew us all by name, joked around with us, etc. Both of them have very warm personalities and their service was excellent. We also were impressed with Raphael (Philippines) who waited on us the first boarding day at the lunch buffet in Cariocas. He would still call us by name whenever he saw us around the ship and is very friendly and fun. Hope you have a great cruise!

We had Jose Luis and Aaron on a B2B over the summer - we LOVE them! So friendly, they always remembered what we liked and Aaron always did special magic tricks for DS8.

We got off the Magic on Friday after a B2B and had the same wonderful team both cruises - Head Server Luis from Portugal Server Pedro from Portugal and Asst Server Paul from France. I really miss them as I had to actually put my own napkin in my lap tonight!

Jonathan (Phillipines) and Julia (Ukraine) are both awesome. We had them as one team but on our last Magic cruise Julia had been promoted from assistant. :) Would HIGHLY recommend either of them.

We just got off the boat on Friday with my family of 4 and another family of 4 that traveled with us.
We had Rey (Philippines) and Catrin (Sweden) and they were fantastic. They got our orders right, knew our names from the first night, and our preferred drinks...all without hovering too much. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants friendly, non-overbearing, fantastic servers.

It's just dinner... what do you want a dog and pony show every nite? If you have pleasant servers consider yourself lucky to be on vacation and enjoy yourself.

I don't know how I remember this but I went on the Magic when I was 10 or so? So, around 15 years ago and our servers name was tiger. I'm wondering if it's the same guy?!

Nope, but the service is what you pay extra for on a Disney cruise. The last cruise we had the servers were amazing. They made a bed for my daughter when she fell asleep at dinner, they would find us in other parts of the ship and chat. The would see us at breakfast and come over and make napkin animals for my daughter and do tricks with them. When others in our group did not like the dinner options, they asked them what they would like and had it made. They even called to their room when they were not feeling well and had food delivered. The previous cruise to that we had "pleasant" servers and that was it. They did nothing to go out of their way, just the basic service that you would get at any decent restaurant. We did not even see the head server on that cruise until the last night when he wanted his tip. So it makes a difference to me, and my family, we have seen both sides and prefer servers that do more than the minimum and they get tipped accordingly.

With all due respect, your experience seems more above average. To expect that level of treatment on every cruise might be considered a bit of a stretch.

I'm kinda with racerx on this. We've been on 4 cruises and have always had good service. They bring what we want in a timely manner, bring us more if we want to try something else, and don't get in our nerves.

I'm always puzzled by the posts about wacky magician servers. I dunno, I'm just there for dinner...

My partner and I were on the Magic 11/30-12/07 last year and had Mirka from Croatia as server and Marcos as assistant server (can't remember where he was from unfortunately). Both were awesome, out of our three Disney cruises they are our favourites. No wacky magic tricks or anything, just genuinely nice people. Marcos especially, if he was working in Cabanas in the mornings and saw us he would take the time to come and talk to us to see what our plans were for the day, gave us tips for the ports and just talked about general things - his family, asking about Australia (where we are from), etc. Hopefully they're still on board, will try and request them on my cruise next year.

The servers we just had on the Fantasy, on the other hand... oh boy don't get me started!
