I have made all my ADRs but I am still thinking there is something better out there! Here are our plans tell me they are good!

Sunday: Grand Floridian Cafe Dinner
Monday: Le Cellier Lunch
Ohana Dinner
Tuesday: BOMA Dinner
Wednesday: Chef Mickeys Character Dinner
Thursday: Whispering Canyon Dinner
Friday: Tonys Town Square

The ones messing me up are GFC and Tony Town Square. I am waffling on those and I have looked at every menu at every place!!! All other meals are counter service and I honestly don't care where we eat those.

Should I ditch GFC and try to get Boma for two dinners? I have never had TS meals at Disney, dh too cheap, so I am trying to spread myself around to see as much as I can! Thoughts please??????

I just scheduled my ADRS for our May trip today and I debated forever on how to handle our dining. On our last trip we stayed at the Poly and I wish I would have scheduled more Adrs at our resort due to the convenience, so that being said I have never stayed at POR but have heard great things about Boatwrights you might want to give yourself a dinner there especially on your arrival day or last night due to having to pack etc. Also if you are scheduling close to magic kingdom I would highly reccommend Kona Cafe at the Poly the food there was our top meal next to the Brown Derby. Just my opinion hope it helps----

We love Boma, but with so many great places to eat, I wouldn't eat dinner there twice. Where are you staying - that may make a difference.

We really love the GF Cafe, but dinner was our least favorite meal (we prefer breakfast and/or lunch there). What about trying another of the terrific World Showcase restaurants? Restaurant Marrakech is beautiful, exotic (a belly dancer!) and the food is great. Some people hate the food in the Mexico pavilion, but we enjoyed it both times we went and the atmosphere is great, especially by the water.

Some may disagree with me, but if you've ever had really great Italian food (I have, plus I'm Italian and a little demanding when it comes to Italian restaurants) you may want to skip Tony's. If that's a night you want to have dinner in the MK, why not try Liberty Tree Tavern? It's like a family-style Thanksgiving-ish meal, and our whole family loved it when we went in 2003.

Your plans look great, though - I'm sure you'll have a terrific time no matter where you eat - you'll be in WDW! :cloud9:

I've eaten there two times....and both times the food wasn't good. Okay I should have learned from my first time but I wanted to give it another chance.

If you need another MK restaurant, try Crystal Palace (Pooh character buffet) or Liberty Tree Tavern. If you don't need MK, then you may want to try San Angel Inn at EPCOT or Jiko at AK Lodge.

All the others sound great!

Good luck!

I can't comment on GF Cafe because I've never been there, but if you're having second thoughts about Tony's I'd change that one. Some people really enjoy Tony's, but many of us don't, and if something else sounds appealing to you, I'd go with that choice.

You didn't say what you're considering to replace Tony's, but if you want something in MK, we really enjoyed Liberty Tree Tavern. A lot of people also really like Crystal Palace. If you want to consider one of the monorail resorts, I recommend Kona Cafe. The food there is delicious!

If you can make spaghetti and put store-bought sauce on it or cook a tough steak, you can replicate Tony's dinner food at home. GF Cafe we just tried for lunch last month. It was a pleasant meal, good food, attentive service. Not a super-wow, but very nice.

That being said, everyone's tastes are different, go where you want to go. You may love Tony's and despise Boma. It's hard to say without trying for yourself. Whatever you choose, enjoy!

Ditch Tony's. If you want to eat at MK I would suggest Liberty Tree Tavern (much better). Also 1900 Park Fare does a wonderful dinner with Cinderella and Prince Charming. We ate at Grand Floridian Cafe and it was good, not great. I used it as a fill in. How about Restaurant Marrakesh instead - its a beautiful restaurant, good food (not spicy like most people think) and something different. Have fun deciding. Oh I forgot you might want to try Hollywood Brown Derby its definitely one of our favorites.

That's pretty funny!!!
I agree on skipping Tony's... Maybe a DTD restaurant??? We love Wolfgang Puck Cafe or House of Blues!!! :flower:

It seems like all of your dinners are in the MK park and resort area- is that by design? I agree with others that it might be fun to explore more of the Epcot WS restaurants or even some of the places in the Epcot resort area, like Spoodles or the Cape May Cafe.

I had a Tony's lunch once. Not terrible, but definitely nothing to write home about. There's something a little suspecious about an Italian restaurant that can't serve red wine! LTT is a better choice, and the Crystal Palace is not my favorite, but at least has lots of choices and a great view of the castle while dining. A lot of people also swear by the Trail's End Buffet at Ft. Wilderness, if you want to take the boat over. One of the best deals on site, in terms of quality food and price.

Just wanted to tell you that you aren't alone on that. The dining CMs keep telling me that my list of ADRs is now 10 pages long from all my cancellations & changes :earseek:
I can't add much input to your choices since I've never eaten at TS restaurants in WDW but I know that ADR availability that week is getting tighter and tighter so if you decide to replace Tony's you might need to be flexible in your choices. Good luck!

:rotfl: so then we don't need the "official" disney recipes for here? :rotfl:

Trails end is good and only maybe 10 mins by boat from the mk dock...it's a nice break from the MK if they are open late or not that far if they close early. we have always had a good meal there although we usually go for brkfst pre mk( husband loves the place and we go at least once a trip)

maybe they need to change the adr time frame tosomething like 10 mins pre trip so we all stop second guessing ours..the cm at check in about flipped when she saw my list/revised list/rerevised list since the adr cms never canceled any of the ones i canceled :rolleyes1

,If you want to venture over to the Epcot resort area, consider Spoodles and the Flying Fish, and also the Yatch Club, which is always a great meal... and one we never miss is Wolfgang's at DTD. It's our traditional dinner on our arrival day.

Your plans look so good I may just print them and use them for my trip.

Tony's is better for lunch, and if I were you and you are trying to get the most out of the Dining Plan, eat at different restaurants so that in the future you'll know what you liked and what you didn't like (although, chef's and menu's change often enough)...

Looks like good plans you've made....enjoy!

Ok I am convinced to ditch Tony!

Now I will research Epcot. We have eaten at Marakesh, and thought it was good. We have also eaten in Germany, Norway. And honestly I don't want to eat in Italy, Mexico or anything Asian. We are from NY so getting good ethnic food is not an issue! I also want to look in to the Trails End thing......off to check the menus! AGAIN!

I like your plans but you might try Cape May or Trails End. Both are favorites or Mexico and Germany in Epcot. My family is screaming that I make toooooo many ADR's but that is part of the fun! We love breakfast at the Concourse.
