Hi all.

I have a question that someone here may be able to answer for me. It is sad t that I am almost hesitant to ask this is public because I am worried that the information might get into the hands of someone trying to be untruthful so that is why I am totally fine and would appreciate if someone would PM me.

Question is this: will I need my GAC card at the MNSSHP? I know i heard the ride times are almost non existent in most cases so I think we will be fine there but what about any other parts of the party? We need limited access to people and as much as possible to be out of the sun (which is why we picked to go to 2 parties since it is in the evening.)

I appreciate any input.
Thanks friends.

We have not needed a GAC at MNSSHP.
GACs are not used for the character lines or for the candy lines.

The lines are more full early in the party, but after the parades and fireworks, many people leave.

Since most of the lines are covered or shaded, people have found a GAC to avoid sun is not really needed that much even during the day. Since the party begins after 7pm, you will be there mostly after sunset or during a time when you can avoid the sun by standing in shadows. And, if your GAC is mostly to avoid the sun, there is no accommodation for that after sunset. For the avoiding people part, I would just look at the attraction. If the line is short, you would be better off getting into the line and use other members of your party to create a space around the person with special needs.
If you are using a stroller as a wheelchair to get separation, you can still use that.

If an attraction has a long line, I would probably come back later. Things generally clear out, especially if you ride while people are in line for the parade. I'd probably go to the second parade ( less crowded) and go on rides during the first.

I think it's good to always carry it but at the parties for those purposes it won't help much. I have a clotting disorder and was on major heavy duty blood thinners at last years MNSSHP. Trying to use the handicapped area for the parade and fireworks was more dangerous for me that finding an out of the way spot where you can't see as well. I was able to enter the roped off area with my GAC but it was allowed to get so packed I felt completely unsafe. The only other people contact issue is the stretch room in Haunted Mansion since sometimes people get pushy so again I used my GAC to avoid the stretch room. The candy lines are also packed with people but you can request to just pick up candy at guest services if you need to avoid the candy lines. You can email or go in a few days before the party and they'll have a bag all ready for you.
