Please show me a pic of the OKW souvenier mug

We are trying to decide if it's worth it to buy it, since we probable won't fill it very many times. If we like the mug, then we could justify spending the money on it. We were also thinking of giving it to my mom as a souvenier, she'd probably love it. Thanks!

I don't think OKW has a "free refill" mug, if that is to what you are referring. They do, however, have mugs of a similar style to other resorts..very plain...just not "free refills". For a souvenir-type I think I'd probably go with the DVC/OKW coffee mug that are available in the general store. The logo has varied some over the years, but they usually are a basic white ceramic coffee mug with a DVC/OKW logo. I have two types, the old red mountain logo with 3 mountains, and the newer lavender 2 mountain design.

Thanks for replying! I thought that the allearsnet.com website said that they are now doing a souvenier mug, and it is $11.99 with free refills. I heard in the past that they had a mug that you could get cheaper refills for, but now they are free. Sound familiar?

Hmmm...

I checked Allearsnet.com, and sure enough it does list a free refill mug at OKW. Maybe it is new? It says it is white plastic with a Minnie/Mickey beach scene. I've seen that artwork used on things other than the mugs...kind of cute. But with the sporatic hours of the Turtle Shack (Turtle Pond Pool area), unless you were staying nearby to the main pool area where the main snack bar (good's) is located, it could be quite a hike just for a free 12oz. drink.

Thanks for checking that, where'd you find it? I figured that it would be a hike to get refills, that's why I was hoping to see it- if we liked it we wouldn't mind paying the price. We'll just have to wait until we get down there, I guess. I myself don't drink much of anything but water, so if my husband thinks he'll use it, he'll get it. I suppose we will probably get it for my mom though, she loves those kind of mugs (plastic w/lids, right?) for her morning coffee.

ETA- I just noticed you said 12 oz... is it really that small?? I might just forget it then! Off I go to re-check allearsnet...

They are probably the "Generic DVC" mug. It looks like the other resort refill mugs but the pic is with Minnie sitting on a beach towel while Mickey and Pluto are surfing.

In between is the DVC logo with the year on it.

But for your mom, I would stick with the ceramic mug instead, at least she could use at home.
