I have a question...
We have adr's at Ohanas at 4:40 on the night we go to the party....would we look absolutely foolish if we show up in our costumes for dinner or should we just bring them with us and change once we are done with dinner? Thanks

I say wear your costumes. Besides isn't looking foolish at WDW part of the fun? And no one there knows you.

I love all the photos!! Im so excited to be leaving in 15 days and to be attending our first MNSSHP! I just purchased Dh and I's pirate costumes today!!!!

I still don't have any costume ideas. I go back and forth between t-shirts and maybe some funky hats or full blown costumes. We dressed as pirates last year and we almost overheated at a couple of points.

I know it is lame, but I am doing the pirate thing. I found a costume that isn't too heavy to wear and thought I'd just join in the fun, even if there are a million other pirates there!

I recently bought a new camera, and was wondering what settings you guys use to capture those great night shots??

Make sure to post this in the Photography forum to get better answers. It looks like most the the photos in this thread are just using auto modes with a flash. What kind of camera did you buy?

My DDs were there. Said there was a mini monsoon. They said everyone was saying that Instead on ponchos, Disney would soon be selling snorkeling equipment. They didn't get many pics, said everything and everyone was too wet. Maybe the 2nd one will have better weather.

Did they still have the parade and fireworks for the party?

Yes, one parade, and the fireworks were at 10:10pm. They said it was still storming but you could see the fireworks.

Last year we went as the Three Hitchhiking Ghosts and The Bride. This year we'll be at 3 MNSSHP (Oct 14, 16 & 16) and we'll be doing the same characters + 2 (Prudence & Pickwick, also from the Haunted Mansion). Cannot wait!!

We will be at 2 parties. Oct 30 and Nov 2nd! Can't wait! We have done the MVMCP's and loved them, I am sure this will be fun too!

Most of the Hitchhiking Ghosts outfits were made. Everything else (including The Bride's dress) was collected from Goodwill.
