We have had Boardwalk view the past 2 years and loved it. We were just there last month and were right next to Jelly Rolls on the 4th floor. I thought "on no" this is going to be terrible. I had asked for a quiet location and even called down to see if there was another room available (there wasn't). It turned out to be a very quiet room. As was the one we had last year.

The only noisy room we had was a few years ago. I guess you would call it a courtyard view. You could also see the lake from the balcony. We were on the second floor and about 2:00 every morning people would congregate out there and laugh and talk before going their separate ways.

Here are some shots from our 1 bedroom BWV from last December. We were above the general store - I can't remember the floor number though. We didn't think it was noisy at all. We have a BWV studio reserved for April. Can't wait!

LSchrow - you said it perfectly. Just what we love when we stay at BWV...watching everyone about their business.

I just have one point of disagreement....the 'soft' tooting of the fairies. I find their horns a little distracting the first day. After that I get used to them. We usually make light of it saying, "O there's the boat!" everytime we hear it. By the end of the second day, we aren't even mentioning it anymore !

I just got back from a trip that involved stays in 3 different Boardwalk View rooms. A Studio (5005), a 2BR (5015 &5017) and a 1BR (3003). All were great and really impressed my family, parents, and sister.

Each location had a slight variation in balcony configuration, noise, etc. but nothing that would make me say that any one was so much better than the other.

Highly recommended.

You know.....I actually LOVED the toot of the ferries (not fairies. I don't think fairies "toot" ;) )

I grew up around train tracks and I always loved hearing the horns in the middle of the night. They were oddly comforting, it made me feel like I wasn't alone, like there was someone else out there who was awake like I was. I was a nervous sleeper when I was little and had a lot of sleepless nights.....

So, admittedly, those ferries kind of brought back a good childhood memory! I can hear them now!!!

Oh boy.....those 210 BWV points are just calling my name! DH and I did a quick check today to see how long till the VWL points are paid off! Not soon enough!!!

We just had a 2 bedroom 3015 and 3017 from 12/6 to 12/11. Right over Big River Grill and not noisy at all. We loved it! 3017 had the BIGGEST balcony I ever saw. We could have fit 20 people for a party on it.

Yeah, that same location 2 floors up (5015/5017) was very nice. Probably our favorite of the 3 Boardwalk view locations we moved around between on our trip, although they were all great. We may look into getting a few more points to be able to enjoy that view more often. Our original point purchase was based on standard view assumptions, but it was awfully nice to sit on the balcony, watch the boats, see Illuminations, drop questionable things into the plates of the Big River diners below, uhhh nevermind about that....

Also, I think we were both on the BWV Tree #1 list so the tree you had was previously living two floors directly up.

jade1 - great pictures!! Would you mind sharing what camera you were using??

ty :santa:
in that dream-like state that BW view puts us in, the ferries are the background noise telling us we're almost in heaven...so i guess they do softly toot to us after years of BW view (it's like watching/listening to Illuminations ~ i don't hear the people, i'm so much in awe of the spectacle of sights & sounds, DH said i look like i'm in a solid trance from the moment it starts. he knows better than to try to pull me out of it ;) ).
gosh, now i'm missing it all..........:sad1:
