DD and I are traveling by car to visit my parents, leaving Saturday am. It's 2000 miles there & back. DH is nervous that he won't be with us, although I drive to Florida and back by myself alot (500 miles). We are going to stop halfway there, same coming home again, and won't be driving after dark. I-40 the whole way, except for the last 100 miles. I've had the brakes and belts, etc checked out and just put new tires on so I am ready to roll! But it won't hurt to have a little pixie dust laid out on the interstate too
The good thing about the long drive.................... on Sunday I will be seeing my parents and eating here.........

Now you have me wanting to go back to Albuquerque again. We ate at El Pinto when I was there with my mom in March and I loved it!! (was my first time, though my mom had been many times).
