Ok, so I know I will likely get flamed for this posting but its for my own sanity.

Fellow DIS Board users, PLEASE search the forums for your question or issue BEFORE you post a new thread! By doing this, we can stop the 18 threads on refillable mugs, 10 threads on CRO experiences, and 8 threads on laptop security.

By searching the forum BEFORE you post, you will also help those of us who come to the boards looking for a specific piece of information by not forcing us to read 5 threads ont he same topic looking for our answer.

Thank you in advance for your patience and humor.

Have a very magical day!

No flaming, but just curioius, in Kindergarden where you the child you always had to be the first in line, :flower:

I have been on these forums and others for years, it ain't going to change. Just go with the flow and enjoy it as it is.

Excellent idea!

But you forgot Whispering Canyon Cafe, Extra Magic Hours, and when will (fill in the blank month) park hours be posted!

You might as well just lock this forum then and archive everything, because pretty much every question that gets asked here has been asked before.

(I also think there have been a few "please search before you post" topics. ;) )

Well, I certainly won't flame you but I look at it differently.

If someone wants a quick answer to something, it is easy to a get a fast answer by asking.

If someone wants opinions, it seems fine to me to frame the question to their own interest.

If you are searching for some particular answer, you can read through those 5 threads or do a search yourself...after which you will be reading many threads. ;)

YMMV. ;)

I don't understand.....
If you don't want to read the 10 threads on refillable mugs... Don't Open Them!!!!!!!! :sad2:

And I forgot to say....Welocme to the DIS! :cool1: Or at least to posting! :sunny:

THANK YOU VERY MUCH BCV! I have to say that for the most part, the people on these boards are nothing but curteous and extremely knowledgable. My Fiance and I have found the info here to be invaluable as we plan our Honeymoon.

::yes:: :rotfl: I guess since it's all been said before, there is no need for new posts. But what if WDW changes their policy on Pool Hopping? How will we know? pirate:

ITA.....

Did not notice at first you are very new here, Welcome. :earsboy:

I am sure your idea has merit, as do many ideas in life, but sometimes it just ain't going to change. That is the situation here. It ain't going to change.

Just have to muddle through and enjoy the good with the disorganized. Usually it's worth it.

Enjoy your planning. :sunny:

Sorry but it seems kind of strange to me that you have 12 posts and are telling people what they should and shouldn't do on these boards. If youdon't want to read a thread don't open it.

I thought the same thing........

I'm not good at organizing, but I've often wondered why the Moderators dont just combine some of the threads, well like the Regis and Kelly coming to WDW - so far I've noted 2 threads... ok they are volunteers, and they have to moderate ugly debates, no time for my picky issues...

and I too have to :rotfl: at myself, when I was first on the Dis I did search and add my question to a similiar thread ie Princess Bkfst, or Poly question or AKL question...

they'd get ignored, because the thread either moved to fast, and it was lost, or I was like a "thread killer' in other words most people assumed the only question was the outside question that got posted in the first place.

So, I gave up, and started new threads!! And I will say at first I just went without, because on other message boards if you start a new thread, it darn well better be a new thread, or you could get banned!!

Because by posting the subject/question again, you might get new experience reports and or opinions. Some people have been on the forums for years and some are just beginning. I myself have only been posting since January 2005, but this will be my 8th trip to the World. So you see anything before January, I wouldn't have had a chance to contribute all my vast knowledge.. lol... just kidding.. but you get the point.

Just remember there are always new people showing up. Some valuable information just may come from a first time poster.. never know.

Otherwise, welcome to the DIS.

As others have said, every question there is to ask has probably been asked in some form or another. But sometimes you might add your own personal touch to the topic, also it's a good way to get to "know" other posters on the boards. Especially, if you are die hard addict Disney fans who are always on here (especially during work time) like some of us.
At any rate welcome aboard and have a great time planning!

I was also thinking that it's nice to get new responses to questions that may have been asked before. Things are always changing.

Plus, people also join to talk to other disney fans & share knowledge, not only to search for info.

Have a great day!
