Covering it with your napkin won't work either.

neither does putting it in your pocket! I saw an older gentlemen do this and his grandkids fell off their chairs laughing when grandpa was made to stand in the corner for hiding food! hehe

I usually get the chicken sandwhich here - VERY good sandwhich - grilled, not fried.

Last time we had the Dad's sundae for dessert...oye - HEAVEN! :) and the milkshakes are VERY yummy too...

I can't believe I am the only one that does not care for Prime Time!
Maybe with all these reviews anyone else was afraid to post...but here goes.....:earseek:

The WORST place we have ever eaten at WDW!!!!:earseek:

My DD's pot roast and potatoes was so bad we had to send it back.....then they brought out some fried chicken for her......and it was WORSE!! the only thing both my DDs were able to eat was the desert....and they are 26 and 12 yrs old...and NOT picky eaters.
All of our meals were cold and the pot roast burnt. Potatoes tasted like they were scraped from the bottom of the pan!!

The waitress was "nice" and it was a good thing we didn't get the "treatment" because with food so aweful I would have thrown it at her.

We will never go back.

After thinking about trying 50's Prime Time Cafe, for many years I made reservations on our last trip we all loved it. My nephew had a
Magical Moment.
I did a quick review and story over on the Trip Report Forums, if any of you would like to read it just click on the link below.
Magical Moment at The 50's Prime Time Cafe

Sorry you didn't enjoy cindyfan.

..ask for her...she even has a photo album of her whole "family" This is the place for great food, fabulous ambience and no Mickey (I DO love him but he is a bit ubiquitous, you know)

Our family loved our visit to the PTC. My 8 year old son did not eat his veggies (green beans, I think) Our server cleared his plate and several minutes later returned with his "dessert"-the green beans covered with whipped cream, spinkles and a cherry! We all got a good laugh out of that! Oh- and the food was yummy.

Our family LOVED it. I will admit that I don't think they food was THAT great, but it was so much fun.

Also, you can order drinks (bloody mary's, margaritas, etc.) TO GO from the bar! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Our new tradition is to go there before Fantasmic and gets drinks and the BEST brownie sundae in the world and take it to go! It has everything but the kitchen sink in it (caramel popcorn, m&m's, hot fudge, etc), and it is HUGE!!

One of my favorites!!!

I haven't been in over three years, but when we go in Sept. it is at the top of my list of PS's.
Just the atmosphere and the CM's are worth the time and money. The food is probably not going to win any awards, but
WHO CARES!!!!
It is awesome!:cool2: :drinking:

We eat here every trip and we love it! Our server last time was good but only really with the other tables. It was just my fiance and I and we were in a back corner next to a group of people who did not want the fun interaction so he kinda left our area alone. We did enjoy him picking on all the other people. This trip there will be 4 of us so hopefully we'll get more attention.

We've been there twice. We loved it both times. First trip the server was better than the last but the second server was very friendly and kind. Cousin Scott was our 1st. He made DH sing "I'm a Little Teapot" complete with hand motions!

Second trip we met Auntie Claire who was a treat in and of herself!
Pot roast was our favorite. Can't wait to go back! I love the decor.

I never imagined that this thread would get these many responses - Thanks to everyone that has responded!!!!

I can tell that we are really going to enjoy this restaurant. My DD#1 is going to be 6yrs old when we go and she always loves a good joke and laugh. She will love this place - I can tell.

Thanks again - I can hardly wait!!

This meal sounds really fun. We would like to give it a try during our end of September trip. Do you think we should make a PS, or would be fine just to wing it. Not sure if we should do lunch or dinner....any suggestions??

We are visiting The World in Sept. also and I am going to make a PS for our trip (I make PS's for everything). In my opinion, it is better to be safe than sorry:) . To answer your question about lunch or dinner - we usually eat around 4pm because we have a big breakfast and then snack around the park, so by 4pm we are ready for dinner.

We last visited in May '02, we had a PS for 50's and it was just a fantastic experience. Aunt Susan was our server and she made the whole thing totally memorable, not least because she dragged me, complete with chair, into the center of the room because I hadn't eaten my green beans (yuk!) and spoon-fed me like a baby in front of a packed room!! It was embarrassing but fun and at the end of it all she signed a menu for me which is now framed and hangs on our family room wall with all our Disney mementos. Thanks Susan, hope you're still there when we return in April '05. We'll be looking for you!! To Prime Time or not to Prime Time???? Well, the second one really isn't an option, you just HAVE to do it!! ENJOY!!

Have eaten there three times - great fun and the food is actually pretty good. If you're not a big eater, definitely share an entree. I was so stuffed when I left! Enjoy

We had lunch there last week and really enjoyed it. The food was good. DW and I had pot roast and thought it was pretty good (not as good as mine, but still good). You will enjoy the atmosphere, especially if you a product of the 60's like we are. Jay

tried it once, won't go back.

food was so-so. meatloaf was good but nothing else was really. hated the green beans. also was embarrassed by waitress "Cousin Janie" b/c of this.

i'm sorry but there are some things that some people just don't like. a 28-yr.-old i think can judge for themselves if they like something. i didn't like the way that the beans were cooked. green beans are not my fave anyway.

if they are going to insist that you eat your vegetables, they should offer a choice.

i could have enjoyed the visit minus the embarrassment. i liked the kitschy atmosphere of the place.

My husband loved it here! We had minimal interaction with our server - just enough to make it fun but not over the top so it was perfect for us. We loved the food and my husband had the best milkshake he said he's ever had - I think it was the PB&J. I can just about guarantee that we'll be back when we go next February so I say try it and have a great time!

tried it once, won't go back.
Finally......someone else that feels the way we do!
I was beginning to really wonder what was wrong with ME!
But I still stand with my opinion.....
Worst meal we ever had at WDW.
