Please recommend some places to eat

Will be going with extended family - picky children (6, 10, 13) as well as cranky grandpa. My primary concern is simplicity - ease of getting in, finding something everyone will eat, etc. We'll be staying at the RPR and visiting both parks. We would prefer to stay on site, but do have cars and can leave if necessary.

To me honest, not all that concerned about the food itself, whether it's counter serve or table service, etc. I just want to get folks fed without too much hassle. Of course, great food would be nice - but given this crowd there is nothing that's going to please everyone. Buffets work well for us, but I'll take any recommendation you guys have.

Thanks,

The Hard Rock Cafe certainly has something for everyone, and they seem to be able to get big groups in pretty quickly. And Mythos is a no-brainer.

My two favourites are Sal's Deli at Portofino and Mythos at IOA. I do like the breakfast croissantwiches and lunch sandwiches at the Boulangerie at USF.

I was just there last week so hopefully this helps. We liked Hard Rock Cafe at City Walk a lot more than we thought we would. There were a lot of good choices at HRC, and the food was pretty good. DW had the Steak Fajitas, I had the Hickory Smoked Bar-B-Que Trio Combo, and DD's 4&5 had the kid's hot dog meal. DD4 abandoned her meal and devoured my baby back ribs, and DD5 abandoned her meal as well and obliterated my pulled pork. We did purchase the $20 photo package they took of us when we arrived. A nice souvenir for us to remember the end of our trip's first day.

I didn't care too much for Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous at Islands of Adventure. DW and DD4 shared the Super Spaghetti and Meatballs. The meatballs were a good size. DD5 had the Cheese Pizza that she loved and I had the Fabulous Fried Chicken Platter. I went with the white meat platter. I was surprised to find the chicken soggy and greasy as we were there right at lunch time and the lines were huge. Pretty standard CS stuff there, so the kids should be just fine there. There were also some large U-Shaped booths right next to the exit that were somewhat secluded and a lot quieter than the seating in the center, so hopefully Grandpa won't be as cranky there. Food quality on that day for us was sub-standard, and cleanliness was very questionable.

Have you thought about doing the Wantilan Luau right at the RPH? We went last Tuesday and we all enjoyed just about everything about it. The atmosphere, staff, show, and food were all very nice. It was thunder storming like mad that day and the staff did everything in their power to still make it enjoyable for all.

We also went to T-Rex, Rainforest Cafe, House of Blues, and Earl of Sandwich at Downtown Disney. PM me for details if you decide to go to DTD.
