please recommend a spray for newspaper articles to make them acid free

I am trying to help make a scrapbook containing ALOT of newspaper articles.

What brand of spray do you use? I need to be able to get it at Hobby Lobby or Michael's.

I have never personally used it but I know that Archival Mist is commonly used for that exact reason.

But if you are using a lot of articles, have you thought about scanning/copying them and printing them out on acid free paper? Even treated with Archival Mist newspapers will degrade much more rapidly than regular paper and this way you wouldn't have to worry about yellowing.

I would copy. I was told that the sprays are only guaranteed for 2 years. Most have had them last longer than that, but I wasn't willing to take chances. I bought 8.5x11 white card stock and ran it through my regular printer, since that ink is acid free. Once I got it in the book, I couldn't tell the difference at all between it and the newsprint-when it was new.

I have copied mine onto acid-free paper.. I also have sprayed my dd's cross country articles w/ the Arhival mist and I have laminated them... This year in DD's 4-H genealogy book we are laminating all the older newspaper clippings from the early 1930's and such... I actually have a Valentine's day card made for one of my gr-gr-gr cousins that is dated 1896..
