We will be visiting Orlando October 15-22. We are looking for something off site but still close to the parks (we will have a rental car too but wouldn't mind a shuttle to the parks). There will be 4 adults and 3 kids (ages 10, 2 and an infant). We would prefer something with 2 bedrooms and possibly a kitchen. I was looking at Staybridge suites Orlando, has anyone ever stayed there? If so would you recommend it? Thanks!

Have you checked out Wyndham Bonnet Creek?? next week will be our 3rd stay there and I cant recommend it enough. I rented thru Vacation Strategy. 2 bedroom - full size condo w/ kitchen and washer/dryer. Our rate for next week was $1300 for 10 nights. The resort itself is beautiful. Its is on Disney property and close to everything.

StayBridge Suites Lake Buena Vista is nice and a great location. The suites have just been renovated. Stayed in a two bedroom. Great breakfast buffet and just outside DTD. Would return in a heartbeat.

Have also stayed at Bonnet Creek but in a one bedroom. Really liked it as well, location can't be beat since it is adjacent to Disney property and their drive comes out on to Disney property close to DTD. Lots of pools, lazy river, slide, hot tubs and activities.

Other suites we stayed at are one bedroom.
We always drive to parks when offsite so I can't comment to shuttles.

DH and I are staying at the Dreams Villas from October 18 - 25. It really looks nice. It will be the first time we will be staying off property.

Thanks for the recommendations, I will definitely be checking them out! We are also considering looking into houses for rent nearby. We are busy weighing the pros and cons for everything.

Re houses/condos, people seem to love Windsor Hills. We just stayed at a WBC presidential and loved it. Agree with PP thoughts. It's a timeshare resort. We rented thru Vacation Upgrades.

Another option is Emerald Island, large villas just 3 miles from Disney. It's cheaper than Windsor Hills as it's slightly older. Bigger home selection than WH and also town homes available.

Good selection on EmeraldIslandPrivateRentals .com

We are staying offsite for the first time in December. For us it was between the caribe royale & a townhouse in WH. We decided on WH, We found a townhome we love & regardless of the weather in December, my 3 kids will get to use the private pool in the backyard!
