Need some recomendations for our counter service meals. Any ones better than others? Which to avoid?

Thanks

In Epcot either Tangerine Cafe in Morocco or the Teppenyaki house in Japan.

In MK we like Pinocchio's Village Haus - more for nostalgia than anything else. You can sit and watch the boats go by for IASW while you're eating.

Our #1 favorite counter service is in AK. Flame Tree Barbecue - it's over by Dinoland. They have the BEST pulled pork sandwiches. Mmmm...can't wait to go there next month!

In MGM we like the Backlot Express (I think it's express..I'm really not sure right now). It's next to the Indiana Jones stunt show. They have a great portobello mushroom sandwich!!! It's not open all the time though, so you have to keep an eye on the time.

In Epcot we mainly eat at the Electric Umbrella...more for convenience than anything else.

MK - Pinnochio Haus, paninni is yummy and figaro fries are a must. Columbia Harbour House is good for CS lunch too.

Epcot - I like anywhere in the WS. Tangerine Cafe, Cantina, Sommerfest - love to snack my way through.

MGM - Backlot - Toy Story Pizza is not very good, but it's fun for the kids and they usually don't mind the tasteless pizza. I get the salad.

AK - Tusker House! Also for picky kids, Restaurantosaurus has Mc D's nuggets.

Epcot: I'm not sure of the names but the CS at Mexico, China, and Japan. Actually, we think they're all good except the one at America, because the food is nothing special.

MK: Pinochio's, Tomorrowland Noodle Station, and Columbia Harbor House. Again, most MK CS have something we like.

MGM: We like Backlot Express most but the place near TGMR has a great Asian stir fry.

AK: We don't like any restaurants here, I'm afraid.

AK -- Flame Tree BBQ

MGM -- sorry can not help you here -- we eat TS here --

Epcot -- mainly eat TS here also -- sorry

MK -- Cosmic Ray's, Peco Bills

also we love beaches and cream at BC -- do not if that is considered a CS or not ??

Are you using MYW Dining Plan? If you are, one of our fav. counter services in MK is Cosmic Rays. On our last trip (Sept. 05) we had lunch there. My mom and I shared the 1/2 chicken/BBQ rib combo. It comes with mashed potatoes and veggies. It sells for $13.89 but only counts as 1 counter service. We had plenty to eat (neither one of us is small.) and it's very good. Pecos Bills is good too.

At AK we like Tuskers Restaurant and Flame Tree BBQ. Both good, and nice sized portions.

MGM-ro recommendations.

Epcot-Sunshine Food Fair is okay. We had breakfast at the Electric Umbrella last time, it was alright.
Just my opinions,

13 days and counting (spur of moment trip)

Pecos Bills at Magic Kingdom is a must!! They have great food, reasonable prices, and the best fixins bar ever...

Another vote for Pinnochio's! Steer clear from Caseys unless you want an Oscar Mayer hot dog! I was really disappointed about that place after the good reviews there!

MK
Cosmic Rays for Variety and Ease of Use (hamburgers have a line, salads, etc - very efficient and large portions)
Columbia Habour House - Their food is different than everywhere else! Sandwiches are served on Olive bread, they have hummus, etc...
Pecos Bills for the fixin's bar! With a bottle of salad dressing, you wouldn't even have to order... LOL (totally a joke, Mickey, don't revoke my dining card) They have everything on that bar, and you can pile on fixin's to your little hearts content!

Columbia Harbour House in MK.

Love it, love it, love it.

40 days and I'll be eating there!

MK- Cosmic Ray's

Epcot- Tangerine Cafe in Morocco (Highly recommend!!!!!!)

MGM- Toy Story Pizza Planet (movie connection for me...pizza is Disney standard)

AK- Flame Tree or Tusker (wasn't thrilled with Restaurantasaurus or Pizzafari)

Mk Columbia Harbour House
Cosmic Ray's Combo Platter
AK Flame Tree BBQ
MGM Backlot
Epcot Fish and Chips Stand
DTD Earl of Sandwich

Mine are almost identical to GrumpyDisneyDad's

MK - Cosmic Ray's

AK - Flame Tree BBQ (love it!)

MGM - Backlot (if I absolutely had to pick. We usually do TS here)

Epcot - Fish and Chips stand (usually we kind of eat our way around the world, sampling a little from each country)

DTD - Earl of Sandwich (another "love" of ours)

MK-Cosmic Ray's, Pecos Bill's and Columbia Harbor house all have great food

AK-Flame Tree is a must for our family but we recently tried Tusker House again and that place has great food.

MGM-Pizza Planet is okay, a pretty good deal and a meal my DS sits through. We just tried Studio Catering Co. and they had very good Steak Gyro style and a nice panna cotta for dessert. Nice choices for a counter service place.

Epcot I love Electric Umbrella, any of the counter service places in WS. They are all good. Electric Umbrella has good coffee.
