Wow, you all are so sweet. Thanks for your kind words and offers to replace the missing things... it helps.

But this is not about the things... It's about a deal that was made and not followed through on, and what that person is cappable of.... either righting the wrong in a timely matter now or continuring to ignore the situation and keep on pretending they are wonderful, when they are not.

This has devastated Bug.... she gets ill at the thought of the whole mess. It happened at the worst posible time in her life. In the one place she saw as an escape from all the CANCER thoughts.... and still continues to this day. PM's unread, situation ignored... Bug cant deal with it anymore... So that is why I am trying to get closure to all this, for the both of us, but mostly for her. She deserves it.

I am really sick right now and haven't been on VMK or the DIS at all. This was the first post I read. Talk about a bummer. I respect you desire to not make this a whole "thing". I know you did not post this for the items, but if there is something I can help you out with by getting and/or giving them to you and Bug, please let me know. I have lots of stuff and I'm sure I can find whatever it is you lost.

Oh, and please report this incident to LoriR and Maleficent2. They have ways of tracking people down that you may not know of. I know that I don't ever want to be on the wrong side of Mal's monkeys! I've seen them in action, and it ain't pretty!

I'm very sorry to hear about someone stealing from you both.

It takes an extremely sad person to do this kind of thing to people as nice as you two and low in spirits as Bug has been.

If you two need any thing, please let me know if I can help. I know that sympathy and empathy can help. But it can only go so far. Only the person who did the wrong can really make it right.

Oh gosh, I'm so sorry this happened. And it really stinks this was a DISer...I just couldn't even dream of doing that to any of you here (or to ANYONE).

I know you don't want to make a "thing" of it, but please please report this to Mal and/or Lori. Like you said, it's about the principle...I don't want to see this happen to someone else.

Bears and Bug, I admire your attitude in this. It would be easy to take this person's name and smear it all over to cause trouble. But your aren't doing that, despite that fact that you apparently have been taken advantage of. You are doing this the right way and I totally respect that. I am so sorry you are having this added complication in your lives because you are both very nice people, as has been stated by many others here on the dis. Whoever did this to Bears and Bug, please resolve it one way or another.

Bug and I do not want to get Mal or anyone else involved in this mess and we are both more than willing to let by gones be by gones and never speak of this event again.... Once the items are returned this goes in the file of DONE... We will both consider it a completed deal (a loooooooooooong deal) but none the less a completed transaction and all will be good.

Our hope is that it works out that way. Let's hope by this time next week it's over.

The only thing I would suggest would be to put a timeline on when you want the stuff back by and stick to it. If the "transaction" is not completed by that time, I personally feel it would only be fair to warn the mods so that others are not taken advantage of as well. I'd hate to see someone else go through the exact same thing you're going through.

Well besides what I said in the post above I have PM's the DISer with that very statement. It would be great to see this completed by this time next week. But as stated before, this DISer is not reading PM's from Bug and I, so who knows what that means.... I have thoughts on what it means, but I am trying to give the benifit of doubt to them... I want this to end peacefully..... but it is not easy to have positive thoughts when the DIS goes into invisable mode and doesnt read PM's that were sent days ago...

I'm so sorry to hear this has happened to you and Bugs. I hope you are able to resolve things with this person. Bugs my heart goes out to you with everything you've been through. I'm so sorry to hear about this. I haven't been on here that long, but I know that you Bears have been especially helpful in any questions I may have had and you seem like such a great person. I don't believe I've met Bugs but from information gathered in other posts on the thread, I understand she has personal concerns that are already upsetting. Having lost my best friend to cancer and sitting by her side the whole way, I liked getting on VMK to relax and just lose myself in game after game of pirates. To have someone take away that coping method.... that's just unforgiviable in my book. I'm so sorry that you both have been taken advantage of because based on the opinions of others and myself (in terms of Bears at least), you seem to be one of the nicest people in this forum. I hope this person has the HEART to do the right thing. It may be a game, but we're all real people with real problems. VMK is a way to relax, not a source of stress. My heart goes out to both of you. Thanks for being such great people, and I can only hope that this DIS person remembers the Golden Rule: Treat others as you want to be treated.
