Please Read - REGARDING BOARDS

We are going to be converting all of the old threads to an archive where they should be available forever. While that is going on there are going to be some issues. It takes a LONG time to convert the threads. There will be a noticable degredation in board performance during that time. In order to keep performance reasonable I am going to have to take several steps to reduce board loads.

1. There will be no search whatsoever.

2. The memberlist will not be available.

3. The one that is really going to stink -- the forum jump on the bottom of each page will be unavailable. You will need to use your back button or click on "DIS Discussion Forums" at the top of each board to navigate to another board.

These changes are temporary and will be changed back as soon as I can get these archives done, I am hoping a week to two weeks. I will post updates if it is going to be longer.

The prize at the end is that board performance should be improved.

IMO, the inconveniences you mentioned will be worth it for the above-mentioned goal.

Just want to also say thanks for all you do for us here on this website. The DIS is Numero Uno in my book (umm...make that: computer)

Thanks for the info. How do we get back to the board after posting? I can't use the back button if I post. It only gives me the same page again. If I go back to my favorites list, I only get the CB page that was valid when I came on line. Any suggestions?

Hi Diane - After posting, try scrolling back up to top of page where it says: The DIS forums>Just for Fun>Community Board . Click on Community Board and it will take you to a refreshed community page. At least, I believe it does....
