Hey I think that's great and I think Rick is an excellent choice for a Mod! He's witty, charming, funny as hell, cute, entertaining....geez, can you imagine what he must be like IRL? 
I SO TOTALLY agree about "family" being defined in many different ways. I come from a stepfamily point of view. I so wish people would open their minds and hearts to all different kinds of families.
