I have made two or maybe now three inappropriate posts. Each time, usually after 2-3 minutes, and before anyone told me to, I pubically apologized (sincerely) and often sent PM apologizing for my replies as well. I also went back and edited my original rude/nasty post. I certainly will try and wait 5 minutes from now on before replying to an 'emotional' post. My questions are:

1) If you get a post deleted. Will a moderator PM you and give you a warning, or will you be DIS-banded?

2) Since you have closed the 'most outrageous' thread, and ThAnswer was the last poster, is she a thread killer, or do closed posts not count as thread killing?

Seriously, I will try to be a 'kinder/gentler' poster, but perhaps you should offer a replacement for the debate board (whatever that was), or allow one and only one thread...."Only really nasty posters can post here.....read at your own risk!" as sort of a safety valve.

All joking aside, there was an Internet BB I used to follow which was called: "Flames, Flames, and More Flames." It was a hoot. It had no rules and anything, and I do mean anything, was fair game.

My grandfather always told me "don't ever discuss politics or religion with friends if ya want to keep them." So I don't reply to political or religious posts. I do post sarcastic responses but never are they diminutive or degrading, it is something to make the person who posted to laugh and to cheer them up. If any of mine ever do hurt someone's feelings I would very much like to hear about it because I truly do not intend for them to. I come here to relax and chat with friends and have a good time. I do have a sense of humor and love to have people laugh. Thanks for making the DIS boards "safe" from cruel jokes at someone else's expense. Keep up the GOOD work guys. but don't make someone one another instead.

Moderators are not required to notify posters if their post is removed. We prefer that the person is notified if there might be a question but it is up to the moderator.
In case of really obvious deleted posts or spam there is never a notification sent
