Hi everybody! I'm getting excited about my first trip to disney ever. :)

My family will be spending 5 days at WDW (all adults). Tentatively I have planned on going to Epcot on Wed., MK on Thurs, Animal Kingdom on Fri., and MGM studios on Saturday. Sunday will be the mark of my husband and I first year anniversary! We plan on sleeping in, going for a horseback ride at Fort. Wilderness, having a nice lunch somewhere, then going to see La Nouba and spending the rest of the night at Pleasure Island. How does this itenerary sound to you Disney veterans?

Where are you staying??? It looks like you are planning to use Extra magic Hour. That is a good strategy if the adults are willing to ride all attractions. I would suggest doing half-days and then hopping to another park in the evening (since the EMH park gets more crowded than the others). What night is spectromagic on? Illuminations and fantasmic are every night . We like to take a pool/rest break and return to the parks in the evening, when it's more bearable (heat wise).

We will be staying at All Stars Music. My sisters and I are quite the thrill seekers, so we will be enjoying all the fast stomach turning rides (the hubby otoh, might need some encouragement). I was possibly thinking about doing just a half day at Animal Kingdom and then spending an extra half day at Magic Kingdom.

Also I was wondering how were the other dance clubs at Pleasure Island? One of my sisters is only 18, so she won't be able to go into Mannequins Dance Palace, which sounds like the type of club we normally go to. Are the other ones pretty packed too?

Since you said you plan on sleeping in, you might want to rearrange your days, because you are going to the extra magic hour (EMH) park every day. I haven't been there since they reinstated "early entry" (WDW resort guests get to enter specified park one hour earlier than posted opening time) but it used to be that the park that had it was more crowded the rest of the day because of the extra morning crowd.
Many people say to go the day after a park has had EMH to avoid some of the crowds.
Here is the schedule for Extra Magic Hour:

Sunday - Magic Kingdom
Monday - Disney's Animal Kingdom
Tuesday - Disney-MGM Studios
Wednesday - Epcot®
Thursday - Magic Kingdom
Friday - Disney's Animal Kingdom
Saturday - Disney-MGM Studios

Can't help with your Pleasure Island questions, we've never gone there at night :p

Sorry, I now realize you meant you're sleeping in on your anniversary. If you use EMH, I would park hop if you can to avoid the crowds later in the day. :)

The Sunday plans for your anniversary sounds awesome! Horseback riding and La Nouba! Cool!

Haha my plans are now all screwed up! I had no idea what Spectromagic was until I made this post, and after some digging around I discovered that Spectromagic will be on Wednesday. I also found out that La Nouba doesn't play on Sunday. :(

Now I'm all at a loss to what we should plan.

How does this sound to everybody?

Wed. - Go to Epcott in the morning, then to MK in the late afternoon/evening.

Thur - Go to MK in morning, then back to Epcott in late afternoon

Fri- Animal Kingdom, then to Pleasure Island at night

Sat- sleep in, ride horses, go to La Nouba

Sun- MGM studios, make dinner reservations some where nice to celebrate our anniversary
