When can those with room only reservations buy tickets? And when that time comes do they have to call?

Room only for 2020 or 2021? If you have room only for 2021, yesterday was when you could make that a package (add Park Passes) and yes, you have to call.
 
I’ve had no luck.

I may just wait as the reservation I want to add tickets to is for April 2021. I’m hoping parks don’t sell out by the time dust settles.
 
I got thru yesterday to ask about my room only reservations for 2020 and 2021 at Shades of Green. Cast member Mabel said that stand alone tickets will be available to purchase for my 2021 trip on the 28th of June, but no word whatsoever on when or if Military Salute tickets would be available... and no word for 2020. I was on hold for 2.5 hours, she was very sweet and as helpful as she could be... and I got a lot of "all circuits are busy" responses at first. My call was in the evening around 7pm eastern time.
 

I've been on hold for going on 4.5 hours trying to add tickets to an existing 2021 basic package. A CM answered just shy of 2 hours and encountered an error when trying to access my reservation. The bonus 2.5 hours have been waiting for someone in GS. I really feel for the original CM that tried to help me. Poor guy has been checking on me every half hour to make sure I still want to wait and to keep me updated. This has to be so frustrating for them, too.

How annoying. I wonder when we should be concerned about park days filling up.
 
i got in right at 7:00:00, but now on hold. As soon as I called they already said high call volume. The line was a bit fuzzy for a minute and then cleared up.
 
LOL....still holding. Kind of nice hearing the disney music :-) We will see how long before it gets on my nerves LOL!
 
Called yesterday morning. Got "all circuits busy" 5 times. Started ringing on the 6th try. Answered within 15 seconds. I was able to reschedule my trip from September to November, and still retain the 35% room discount. Took less than 10 minutes. Very helpful cast member (Bond). 😊
 
I was not able to reschedule my trip Aug. 29-Sept. 5. She could see my reservation, but could not modify it. I'll have to call back in a week or two. At least the reschedule isn't until next April!

Do you have an offer on the August/September stay? If not, you can see if you can change it online. If so, I don't believe any 2020 offers can be applied to 2021 resort reservations, so maybe that's a wall the CM ran into when trying to modify your reservation.
 
Try calling in the late afternoon. I think all the eager beavers try in the morning & tie up the lines. I called 1-407-939-1936 yesterday around 5:45pm (Central time), had to repeat dial for just a couple of minutes to get on hold, then had a very brief hold before talking to an agent.

I guess that's dinner & dinner-prep time for a lot of people in the Eastern & Central time zones, so not a popular time to call.

I tried to modify online and click on change reservations but it just brings me back to my plans and tickets reservation page. I told the rep, I also saw: Recovery20 Disney Resort Hotel Package. She said that was a 20% off thing? Is that for the future?

Regardless, she said to wait a week or so.

Not exactly. The Recovery20 package is a 35% off on room rate for guests that had one of the earlier Free Dining offers that were removed from guests. As far as we currently know with this package you can't modify / change your reservation online. You will have to call.

When is your reservation time frame? If it is August or later you might chose to wait a while but if you want to get it fixed now again you will have to call and wait for a knowledgeable CM or a longer wait to be transferred to Guest Services (GS).

They are currently trying to fix reservations for guests that are coming now..

Everyone has an AP except DG. I spent two hours on the phone to be told...no idea when we can purchase a ticket for our upcoming (rescheduled) trip.
 
I called the direct guest services magic number (407-939-7866) 15x over 20 minutes but once I connected was a 2 minute hold... switched All Stars to a Pop easily. Good luck!
