I'm having a bit of a hard time knowing what to eat. Or at least coming up with appealing stuff. I'm wondering if any of you on Atkins would be willing to post an example of a daily menu! Thanks!!!:D

For breakfast I usually have scrambled or hard boiled eggs or yogurt. I used to have bacon and cheese, but I still have around 65 lbs to lose so I've been trying to get away from as much processed foods as possible. That's just my choice. I also keep my calories around 1200 per day and my carbs around induction levels, although I'm on OWL now.

For lunch I have yogurt, a salad or cook some sliced chicken breast in olive oil and lemon pepper seasoning. Occassionally I'll make a grilled chicken wrap with a low carb tortilla.

For dinner, it's usually grilled chicken, or a pork chop, or a hamburger patty with melted cheese, and a salad and/or some green beans.

For treats I'll have some strawberries and real whipped cream, sugar free cheesecake or just a sugar free popsicle. That's only 2 or 3 times a week.

Here's my typical daily menu! :sunny:

B: During the week at my desk: Atkins Advantage bar and cup of coffee with cream

B: On weekends at home: 3 eggs scrambled with ham, peppers, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, and cheese

L: Big salad with lots of veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, green pepper, cucumbers). I usually top it with some kind of deli meat or tuna, and caesar or ranch dressing.

D: Pork chops or chicken or steak, broccoli with cheese melted on top

Another favorite dinner is steak or chicken fajitas made in low-carb tortillas!

Snacks: Atkins bar, deli meat & cheese slices, cucumbers, dill pickles, beef sticks, sugar-free ice cream bars, and BB yogurt

This morning:
Atkins Shake (very little time this morning.)

For lunch:
Leftover sausage (I made this by browning loose sausage and adding cheese at the end.)

For dinner:
My DH wants sausage patties with melted cheese again.
I will be eating leftover mock Swedish meatballs from last night. (I mixed 2 eggs, some Asiago cheese, and about 2/3 cup of seasoned breadcrumbs into ground beef and baked the meatballs. When they were cooked, I boiled one can of beef broth (0 carbs) with the meatballs and added sour cream to thicken it.)
I'll also have a small salad with bleu cheese crumbles and bacon pieces. I made Good Seasons Italian with Splenda to sweeten it a little to counter-balance the salty cheese and bacon.

After dinner snack:
Carbolite chocolate bar
or Pepperoni with melted mozzerella cheese
or Atkins ice cream.

My typical day:

Breakfast:
bacon and eggs, or an omlet (usually ham and cheese) and coffee, as well as a 20 oz bottle of water.

Lunch:
shrimp or chicken salad (with celery and onions and mayo) or a burger from wendys (no bun, no ketchup, no tomato)
or a salad with bleu cheese dressing or a caesar salad. Today I had a cheese quesadilla with a low carb tortilla. I usually drink water with lunch as well.

Dinner:
Crab with butter (for a treat!), steak (I love steak), chicken salad or baked chicken with a buffalo hot sauce and bleu cheese dressing; sometimes we just brown ground beef with mushrooms and onions; or we will have pork chops or hot dogs and sauerkraut. For a treat my Dh will make a delicious dish with sausages, mushrooms, cheese and wine sauce (we use a low carb marinara sauce and burgandy wine, which cooks off). I almost always have mushrooms and onions sauteed in butter as well, or we will have some green beans. (or a salad). I drink one diet soda a day, usually with dinner. I also make sure I drink my last bottle of water around this time. I may have one cup of coffee at night (decaf) with cream and splenda.

My favorite snacks are: salami, cheese cubes, a small handful of walnuts and pecans or macadamia nuts. I also love celery with cream cheese, or Axelrod sour cream and onion dip.
I have been known to eat cold bacon as a snack as well (although my DH thinks I am out of my mind to do that!)

Hope this gives you some new ideas!
It is good to be WISHing with you.:sunny:

Where do you buy Atkins bars and shakes? I saw the premade shakes at Walmart the other night and it was over $7 for 4 of them ! YIKES!

I buy my shakes at our commissary. (my DH is in the Air Force). They are 5.98$ for 4 there, but I have bought them at WalMart in between visits to West Point, and they were $7.98 there. I don't like the atkins bars, so we don't buy them. My husband enjoys the KETO brand things, like Ketchup, pancake mix, and bread crumbs (to fry chicken and pork chops with). They can be found at the KETO website.
We do like the Russell Stover sugar free candy, although my DH can eat a lot more than I can, as it stalls my weight loss (I usually split one serving over a few days). They probably aren't good for induction, anyway :)

On Sundays, I boil chicken breasts (with bone) and make chicken salad out of them (onion, celery, mayo, salt & pepper). I also boil about 8 eggs. I always have 0 carb cheese (I like Monterrey Jack) and macadamia nuts on hand.

For breakfast on weekends, I have bacon and eggs, an omelet w/veggies, or a mock danish. During the week, every day I have about a half cup of cottage cheese and throw in a few fresh blueberries or strawberries.

For lunch on weekends, usually leftovers or lunch meat and cheese rolled up around a pickle. During the week, I take my chicken salad to work along with a hard boiled egg. Sometimes I take salad.

I have a water cooler in my office so I drink water all day long.

For dinners, it's usually some kind of chicken, ground beef, steak, or fish or scallops with a good veggie & salad. I eat a lot of home-made cole slaw (I make that on Sundays as well). Cole slaw mix from the supermarket, add mayo and shred some onion into it and a little splenda. Yesterday, I baked boneless chicken breasts. I topped them with a sauce I made from melted Monterrey Jack cheese combined with horseradish sauce and a little half and half. I topped the chicken with sliced mushrooms and poured the sauce over them and baked for 45 minutes. The cheese slightly browned and DH and I really loved them.

I try to avoid Atkins-type products as they slow down my weight loss. I tried the shake this past week and thought it tasted like vitamins or minerals or something. I had to throw it out! I do like candy bars called ZCarb (0 carbs) that I sometimes find in 7-11's. They are like dark chocolate Hershey bars with almonds. I only eat about a quarter of one, though, at a time. My favorite snacks are macadamia nuts and sugar-free jello topped with real whipped cream.

I'm always experimenting with foods myself. I think it's better to prepard home-made items. That way you know what's in it. I made stuffing last month made from low-carb bread. It wasn't too bad for special occasions. Also, the recipe for "mock" potato salad made from cauliflower is pretty good.

I hope this helps a little. Eggs tend to get boring as do salads.
