Please post if your school has a fall break for 2014?

I know in Indiana my sister's children have off the week before Columbus day for fall break.

Anyone else know when your 2014 fall break is yet?

Just curious-there is no Fall break in New York. Why is there a break so early in the school year?

We are in Pennsylvania and we don't get a fall break. They get two days off for Rosh Hashana, Election day and Veteran's Day. Then, Thanksgiving. To take a vacation in the fall, we need to pull them out of school. Which, we've done before around Rosh Hashana and "Jersey Week" in November.

I'm a wee bit jealous of those with "fall breaks".

Here in Kentucky, we get a fall break. It's not early in the school year though since we start the first week of August. I'm guessing you start right after Labor Day. If so, then it would be early.

Our fall break this year is October 6-10. Can't wait! I will be enjoying WDW with my DH!

We do here in TN. Last year it was Oct 7-11. Our 2014-15 calendar hasn't been released so im not sure about this year.

There are a lot of schools in WI that have Oct. 30 & 31st off this year.

Columbus Day is always off and sometimes it's a 4 day weekend, but no week off. I'm in upstate ny.

ETA- part of the reason we get such a long break is that we start early, July 31 this year!

What do you mean? Of course they go to school. We start around Aug. 20th and get out around June 5th. My family in Indiana starts Aug 1 and gets out around the same time as we do, but they get two weeks for Fall and Spring Break versus our one week off for each.

Fall break isn't a thing in central Ohio, but I *think* some of the more rural districts give time off for harvesting and hunting.

Good question! I never even knew fall break was a thing until I started planning our October trip this year! I grew up in FL and we never had fall break, up here in Western NY we don't have a fall break either! Of course my trip is during Columbus Day week so I'm guessing it's going to be a bit more crowded than we are used to going at the end of October! :/
