I will keep you all in my prayers.
I had a niece do the same thing, but she held out for two weeks longer than he did ~ she was 8 weeks preemie. She was at a Children's Hospital, and was home within 4 weeks. She came home with a heart/apnea monitor that she had for about a month. My brother & sis-in-law were also able to stay at a place (like a Ronald McDonald House) right next to the hospital for a cheap price. That is so awesome for the parents of ill children. My niece was a bit bigger than Paul was ~ she was 4 lbs. 5 oz and 17" long ~ ~ she was the same exact size as Bitty Baby (American Girl Doll!) except she was skinnier than the doll!!
She is now 2 1/2 and you would never know she is a preemie. She had goldenhar (? on name for sure) which is common in preemies, but hers was very very mild. All this meant with her is that she has a small spot on each eye that the color is not there ~ it looks like she has some sleep in her eye. It is not very visible, and most people don't even notice it. She has the vocabulary of a 4 year old and she is bigger than some kids her age!
