Please, please keep us in your thoughts.

GEM - first off, CONGRATULATIONS! :)

I'll be keeping all of you ans especially little Paul in my thoughts and prayers. :)

Welcome to the world Paul :D :D

Sending good thoughts your way - I'm sure he'll be just fine, it's a scary situation, but I'm sure he's in the best of care - especially with his new parents :D

Keep us posted on your beautiful boy.

Congratulations on your new arrival.

Paul will be in my thoughts and prayers as he continues to get stronger so you can all go home.

My very best for Paul and you, GEM, and daddy too. Sounds like he is coming along well, and you also. So happy to hear little Paul is with us now, congratulations. My prayers are with you all. :sunny:

Congratulations on your beautiful new baby Paul! I'll keep him and all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

One of my cousins gave birth to a little girl about the same size as Paul last fall, and she is doing wonderfully now! I'm sure that 6 months from now, you'll hardly be able to believe that he was so small when he was born.

{{{HUGS}}} for you Gem!

It sounds like little Paul is off to a good start despite being delivered early. I would take that as a sign that he is a strong baby even if he's tiny now. My husband was born early in 1959 and now he is 6'1"!! Kudos to you for pumping your breastmilk even though you have so much to deal with. You are a very dedicated mommy!! The breastmilk will be so good for him and no one else can give him that but you. Just remember to keep up with your nutrition, even if you don't feel like putting anything in your mouth.....do it for him.
I remember hearing Melissa Gilbert Boxlietner (Little House on the Prairie) speak about her experiences w/ her premie. She is a strong advocate for something called "Kangaroo Therapy". Mom or Dad hold the premie, skin to skin on their chest and are wrapped in a blanket together. I'll try to find more info on it for you and post it later.
Best wishes to your family and when you have the time, do keep us updated on Paul's progress.

Congratulations to you and your DH on the birth of your baby boy Paul!

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.:D

{{{hugs}}}

Congratulations on your new son! :) He sounds like he'll be a strong boy already.

Paul will definately be in my thoughts...as well as you and your DH. {{{Hugs}}}

Little Paul is definitely in my prayers, as are his mommy and daddy. May the Lord give him strength and help him to grow and get well enough to come home very soon. May the Lord also give his doctors wisdom as they choose what treatments are best. {{{HUGS}}} for you all.

Oh my, what an ordeal you have been through! Glad to hear things are going as well as they can.
Prayers &pixie dust on the way!!!!
Take care!!!

Gem,
Hang in there. The road ahead is long and hard, but you will have many good times too. Take it from me, one who has been there. I will start at the end of my story...I have two perfectly normal healthy twin daughters :)

I was at 30.5 weeks when I was kicked in the stomach by a student. They were not able to stop the labor and they were delivered that night...normal delivery...or as close to normal as it can be. First twin born and taken away...second twin entangled herself in the umbilical cord, and was taken out feet first. Born blue and an apgar score of 1 :( She did not cry....or meow for what seemed like forever. Every tube and devise was put into her. That night they switched places...as one improved the other worsened....Eventually they put them together in the same incubator and things stabalized. They were there for quite a while...transfered to a hopital nearer to me after a month...then out the next month...We had visiting nurses for all the therapies...Speech, OT, breastfeeding...yes, they did not have the sucking down right because of weak muscles....it all ended other than speech at age 3....now they are in first grade doing very well...One is above grade level in reading one above grade level in math :)

Hang in there...feel free to email me or pm me if you want support from someone who has been there...Rest while you can...

Lots of hugs to you and your baby...Will pray everything goes as well for you as it did for me.

Well, welcome to the world, Mr. Paul!

I see you wanted to see your parents a little early, hmmmm?

Well, get ready, because they already know what most parents don't... that you are special, that they can never take you for granted and that you are INDEED a blessing.

Every word you speak, every step you take, your parents will applaud and expound upon because you, Mr. Paul, are their special angel.

God bless you, Mr. Paul. Continue being their blessing.

Prayers to the GEM family, God keep them and protect them

Robnrs
